Or maybe, Jaz doesn't know much about the Pakistan's cricketing history. :p (Joke)...
Well, Anwar should must definately been opening along with Aamer Sohail. If it's an experiment though, let's see how it goes.

since its a high scoring games here, might be Anwar have the good chance to score too well in higher order but anyways lets see how the experiment works for Pakistan! ;)

PAKISTAN EXPERIMENT FAILS AS STEWART AND BOYCOTT LEAD WAY

The 3rd game of the legends ICC Champions Trophy was held here earlier today in Chennai. The teams were fired up, and they both knew that a great start would be vital to qualify.
The pitch was hard and dry, which was why after Gower won the toss he decided to bat. Both teams had an extremely strong batting line-up, but the toss was vital. Lets have a look at the Innings

ENGLAND INNINIGS 286/5

Stewart with 100

England had a rough start to their innings, quickly losing the wicket of Grace thanks to an amazing bit of fielding from Anwar at Mid-off. Gower the captain was also back in the pavillion 3 overs later, failing to trouble the scorers only scoring 3. This left England in trouble at 22 for 2, and their problems got worse when Gatting was trapped in front for 10. This left england 38 for 3 of 41 balls. But the saviours of the innings were the 2 men picked out at the beginning as being the two to steady the ship. Boycott and Stewart both scored freely, and both scored quickly. They both looked untouchable and both passed 50. But unfortunatley for Boycott he fell 10 before 100, for a well made 90 off 88. That inings contained 8 fours and 3 sixes, equating to a half century of boundaries. These two taking the score to 193 for 4. But Atherton came and went for 6, and looked like Stewart would be left with the tail, but Botham came in and played a controlled innings, of 27 off 41. But stewart passed his century with a flowing cover-drive off Qadir. He was left not out on 128.
On the bowling front Akram was the pick with 2 wickets off his 10, but he was outshone by Mustaq Mohammed who took 2 for 48. Most of the bowling was contained and no-one was widely smashed out of the park.

PAKISTAN INNINGS 195 ALL OUT!

Mo Yo in full flow

The Pakistan team lead out by Inzamam and Khan, were expecting a win here chasing down a smallish target, but were shell-shocked when the captain Khan went for a duck, 1/1 off 3 balls. Inzamam and Younis were looking good until there partnership of almost 50 was broken with Inzamam departing for 19. The Player of 2006 and the Younis played very well and both passed 50, before Younis was out for 51 off 43. Miandad looked good until he went for 22, and things went down hill. Anwar went for 11 leaving the score on 162/6. The Mo Yo was dimissed for 52 and Mohammed was left with the 9,10 and Jack. Razzaq was back in the pavillion for 10, and Mohammed for 17. With the score 191 for 9, the end was inevitable as Qadir was the last to go for 2.
On the bowling front everyone chipped in with wickets, Trueman with 3, Botham and Grace with 2. Underwood, Flintoff and Illingworth with 1. Illingworth was good and economical conceding just 20 runs off 5.3 overs.

Nice performance from England who are certainly firm favourites for this competition.

Great Presentation. I felt If Pakistan would've had Saqlain and Aamer Sohail in the team they would've done better than Razzaq, and Ijaz
