An idea for a new form of ODI cricket.

Now i know it seems a little childish but I say from overs 25-35 we introduce the one hand, one bounce rule. It would bring in tight close in fields from spinners putting the batsmen under pressure and not letting them play as many defensive strokes encouraging them to play over the top!

In ODI cricket? Now that's just crazy. Maybe for the Backyard Cricket One Day Internationals, but not the ICC ODIs.

I don't see whas so bad about it! All it would do is bring more wickets and higher run rates!

One advantage, takes away that boring middle bit of a 50over game.

But, you'd just see a team playing for the second innings, i'd say, give some sort of "award," or "points," for the team winning in the first innings.

It would force bowlers and batsmen to start all over again and probably bat conservatively so I don't like the idea. Also, it would be like a 20/20 Test match and that's the last thing cricket needs

actually a twenty20 test match would be cool, but it shouldnt be played at the international level though...

:D

We could supply the umpires with guns, instead of pointing their finger when the batsman is out, they shoot them. Then we'd see the real depth of a countries talent!

One hand, one bounce should be an international tournament every 2 years tbfh.

I want the duck back like when the batsman gets out for a 0 they show a duck on the screen
I love that it just funny :)

People will start to understand one rule, yet the game will be finished :p..

This reminds me of baseball. Sorry, but I don't like this. Definately has potential as a gimicky match, for charity matches or now and then. And using this in Youth cricket will be fantastic as it builds skill needed in ODIs (Fast scoring) and Test (Catching up in the second innings if you messed up in the first, trying to be consistent over 4 innings) cricket. But we don't need this in ODI cricket, it is fine as it is.

Would you prefer this as a replacement to 20-20 though?

I'd rather the 50 over format cricket over this idea & Twenty20 cricket.

But if you had to choose between 20-20 and this format which would it be? Yes, we know everybody prefers ODIs but between these two, which would you rate higher?
