How the hell do you reject a friend request? I clicked on reject friend requset and then save changes but nothing happened and the notification thing is still there.

You need to check the box on the top left of the avatar and then go to the option.

Anyways, is there any way by which I could go back to theme that was used in May and June (default one). This one looks pretty uncomfortable to cope up with.

If there is an attachment in any post, then it doesn't need any time I think.

I Don't think anything can be done because he is posting within the rules i guess you should put him on the ignore list

You can ignore that user by adding him to ignore list.
The posts he posts will not be visible, once you do that...
