Are Australia ODI back?

*clears throat* This is about Australia :) Not the in-breds across the Tasman :)

At least the Tasmanians support their home country..*ahem, Gazza*.

Wheres Covvy when you need him? Always good to have inbreds.

Across the Tasman, dumbass. Not Bass Strait :doh

Nice crack with the 'home country' thing btw :)

Its not about replacing the old guard but creating a new one. I think the biggest problem we have is we lack consistent bowlers. No offence to Johnson and Brett Lee but they're very fickle- fast bowlers usually are. The balance isn't there. Two x-factor bowlers is dangerous- in both a good and bad way. They can decimate sides together or they can rape their own side. The injury to Lee and now Siddle is a blessing in disguise. We can test for that 3rd bowler. I like Nannes but please no. Prefer to see a steady, line and length bowler. A Clark for example. Mckay seems good. I know Bracken's record is awesome but he's been very poor at the death of late and isn't what he was earlier against the top side. hmmm oh well i like this situation. Its a bit of soul searching and terrible viewing occassionaly but this team needs to develop a thick skin. They're very soft relying on past performances.

Ahh sorry, mis-read, my eyes deceive me once again, like when i thought you were a man.

We didnt lose Hayden, we got rid of him, stupidess decision ever

He bats as if he's possessed in the IPL. I'm sure his country would have been happier than his franchise to see him play this way. But selectors... we all know how they are :sarcasm

No, they haven't been able to to find good replacements for the likes of Gilchrist and Hayden. They still are a very strong ODI team which they have shown in the ODI series in England, the CT and now in India which they have managed to do well with a large amount of injuries.

They are arguably still the best in the world.

We definitely need one of them, two is probably a bit too many unless Johnson plays at 7. Siddle/McKay, Bollinger, Lee, Hauritz gives you a good mix of everything.

And Siddle isn't that inconsistent, when he started ODI he was a bit inconsistent but as the games have gone on hes been our more economical bowler and at 150km/h that is impressive. Now he just needs a few more wickets.
