Are Australia ODI back?

:doh Matthew Hayden's time to go had come. First of all, it was the perfect time for Hughes to come in and it showed, with his instant success in SA. Secondly, Hayden could not bat any more at the highest level. I almost cried when I saw him struggle in the second innings at Sydney, a great player fallen from his peak. If he had waited any longer it would have truly shattered his reputation.

It's all well and good to have a slog in T20 but knuckling down for a hundred; I don't reckon he was capable of it any more....

The trouble is when you have a guy struggling for form and he's 25-35, he's just struggling for form. When he's 35+ and doing the same, he's deemed no longer good enough.

Because when you're 35 plus there's really no time for you to get back into it......
