Wood has got to 100 wickets averaging 29ish.

Comparatively Anderson and Broad were averaging mids 30s.

71 wickets at 24 for Wood since his run-up lengthened. Sadly he's only played 18 of the 56 tests since then. When you factor the pace he bowls at, I think he'd be my first choice bowler, fitness permitting.

He’s definitely the first choice pacer when you consider all three formats. Should be treated like Shami for India or Starc for Australia and only wheeled out when needed with the main focus being tests.

Expect he'll be wrapped in cotton wool after this series, maybe wheeled out for a couple of ODIs prior to the World Cup.
 
Why don't they cover the whole outfield like in Sri Lanka?
