Ashes Cricket 2009 system req. Confirmed. ( Official System Specifications in First Post )

Forgive me my ignorance, which unfortunately is abundant, but am I to understand that this game will not run on a laptop at all? I have a pretty good system with 4GB of ram and an adequate videocard. I can run all "modern" games I wish to on it without any problems (Fifa09, PES09 to name but a couple) but it worries me the the system requirements for Ashes 2009 wont run on a laptop according to the info on the site. What does this game have in terms of advanced features or programme architecture that doesn't allow it to be played on a laptop? Or should I be taking that with the proverbial pinch of salt? Any helpful feedback would be most welcome.

^I am not a techie my self but I think it all depends on your Graphic Card. If your graphic card can run Fifa 09 it may just run Ashes Cricket. I sincerely hope The game runs on your laptop. Good luck

Cheers for your feedback. The graphics card has 512MB of memory so in that sense it seems to be okay. I somehow just can't imagine why Ashes 2009 wouldn't run if Fifa 09 can, but then again I am probably just ignorant or dreaming and hoping too much!

IMHO if you can run FIFa09 without framerate issues, you can most definitely run Ashes 09.

My Desktop Configuration:
Intel Quad Core 3.0 Gig
4gig RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285

My Laptop Configuration:
AMD Turion X2 2.0 Gig
RAM: 2 GB
Graphics: Nvidia 7150M (This card runs FIFa09 without problem in Win Xp, Gotto see if it runs AC 2009. Also it supports SM3)

I am sure AC2009 will be nothing for my system :P
Come to think about it, this configuration is way much better than xbox or ps3.
Btw, it's my own opinion.

Just being 512 MB won't help mate. You've got to know exactly which chip is it. Go to start, run, and type dxdiag and enter. Check your card from the graphics tab there!

in my opinion the MINIMUM specs that you may need would probbs be somethhing like...

2.2+ GHZ processor
a graphics card which is no older then 3.5 yrs, that has a min of 256 MB
1Gig RAM for XP and 1.5-2 Gig for vista

this is just my opinion, but keep in mind if you have the lower specs as i have mentioned above u may be able to run the game but the frame rate and other aspects of the game may be unsatisfactory.

Nope,read the requirements,it needs at least Nvidia 6800 to run
and your proccy is not enough
