Ashes Cricket 2013 Bugs

if there is no such bugs, then ashes cricket 2013 is awsum cricket game...hope they will soon release patch for these bugs..:yes

I wouldn't be surprised if this was the build they submitted in June, so don't hold your breath for patches!!

I might buy this game when it gets lower $1.99 which should happen soon seeing by the look of it. Just for shits and giggles. If I had a bad day and I just wanted to laugh like crazy then I'll boot up this game

BTW 79C did you also buy the same Ashes 2013 and said its decent

I never said the game is decent, it's the worse game i have played i think ever mate but it's fun to tease but a small part of me is crying at the same time.

PS If the game had say one more year of development then maybe just maybe it could be near ashes 2009or IC2010.

If i was going to fix it i would start from the start again, AI,Graphics, sound, gameplay and the bloody bugs then after all that add muliplayer, difficutly levels.:facepalm

PS The AI fields are ok in the game but the AI never changers when you hit over the top, so if you loft the ball you can not get out in the games i played.
As the fielders haveing catching skills of a retarded blind man.:lol

Even if they fixed the problems they still would not come near DBC14 ever.

This is sped up 16x and only finished because I stopped recording - it kept going and then I eventually gave up and just exited the game. You'll see me go into the menus a few times in the hope that it might trigger something to finally stop the ball.

No and no, if the bugs were fixed it would be a 5/10 game not a 1/10. Better Ross.

The thing about IC10 is that it was fun as a multiplayer game (offline) if nothing else. I was actually playing it with someone last night; won the (ODI 50 over) game with my OP left arm legspinner bowling a ball straight at the stumps that pitched just before the batsman's foot and got him plum LBW... until hawkeye appeared and showed that apparently the ball would've spun enough to miss even the fifth stump (it was actually quick realistic because we both thought that it was out until that)... In IC10, you had a little issue that good spinners could ball every ball sideways if they wanted too; but it was still fun against a human being.

AC13 doesn't have that - even if multiplayer was included, the bugs would make it a complete joke. Hopefully DBC is a fun multiplayer game!

Yeh, IC10 is definitely serviceable as a two-player offline game. I think a game which builds on that to the same extent that it built on Ashes 2009 would be a good game. There were just a few pretty minor things which needed to be sorted for that mode. It would seem that for whatever reason, cricket-game developers either make minor adjustments only once or twice and then the franchise has a whole new build started from scratch with a new set of issues.

Matt, they are searching for the ball under the grounds may be? Best thing in this game - it will never allow us to stop laughing.

Okay, THAT is your finest work to date. I absolutely LOVE the umpire inching (moonwalking?) in from the left slowly but surely towards the bowling crease as if to say to the player there "hey... um... how long is this gonna take?" then he turns around to head back out again! :lol

This game is so irreparably f#cked.

...there's my pull-quote for the box:

@79C you get a lot of rope, but seriously this game is not 2/10 and the bugs are FUNDAMENTAL, as in they are imbedded in the game to the point that removing them would structurally damage the game. In code terms there would be more work in fixing the commentary system, graphics system, crowds, animation, Game AI, ..... actually every system than in completely rewriting it.

The BIG thing is that no-one can blame this on the engine, Unity is bad on console (apparently) but NOTHING related to gameplay can be blamed on it.

But how can you tell, you've never played it - in the words of the late great M Fegan "I'm going to let the game do the talking", "please wait until you've played both until you make a judgement", "the players are the stars of the show"... oh I could go on... there are just so many gems - unfortunately many of them now lost due to the removal of the FB page.

I always prefer life glass half full, but 79 you're WAY off base. This game can't get the basics of stat-collection correct. There's no patching to fix the fundamentals of cricket that are missing... the AI is beyond laughable, sound and controls are a mess. You can't select front or back foot shots for christ sake. Calling it "unfinished" is like saying the shit I off-loaded is an unfinished carrot cake...

EDIT:

@Ross. I'm not giving them a dime. Not one cent, could I afford it? Absolutely. I'm dead keen to play it just to witness the batshit crazy first hand but they're not getting a single dollar from me because they're a bunch of deceitful [insert appropriate lexicon here] and as much as I'm taking great enjoyment and comedy in the tragic stupidity involved in this game, it's absolutely a sober realization that fans both long-serving and new to cricket gaming just got given the biggest middle finger from any developer ever. EA was bad, this is a whole new level of disrespect and if it wasn't for your game, I would genuinely fear for the profitability and success of console cricket gaming going forward. There's absolutely no way any rational human being can look at this game and say anything other than it's just a giant coded 'F#%K YOU' to anyone who cares about cricket as a sport or as a hobby.

What is even worse is a few folks here from PC.net helped these assholes out with stats and field sets. People from PC.net gave of their own free time to assemble rosters and did a really good job of it, some guys put a lot of effort and time into it and they're, now, hurting because of it. Some folks take this shit really seriously, for better or worse... not because they're strange but because they genuinely care. They're cricket fans, gaming fans and they wanted to help out to make a great game... all the while under the impression that the people making the game had the same passion and care for the product they were going to be making money from.

Disgraceful.

They're not getting a dime of my money and anyone who IS buying it for "comedy" purposes isn't helping the situation either... As an aside; There ARE review copies out there (believe it or not) and I know for a fact some who have been supplied them aren't touching them either. That's right. People who were given FREE COPIES don't want anything to do with the thing.

So Ross are you saying this game can not be fixed, if you were given this mess and payed to fix it. Is it possible or just throw it in the bin and set it on fire, burn to ashes.:p

My score of 2.0 is maybe high but I am always nicer to cricket games than anyone else, still it's hard even for me.

PS Only you can put us out of this misery Ross, I hope sooner than later but to be honest. When ever your game arrives it will be the most important cricket game maybe ever. Why ? well if you were not around then all of us would be at a funeral right now for cricket games unless someone else steps up to the challenge one day.

Why would you fix it?

I would not as it's perfect the way it is right Biggs.:lol

Just wanted to know how someone would fix this, I know cricket 07 got a lot of patches and fixers on here. So can this be improved by anyone ever.

@79C when you accept things ?you? are a big part of the problem. Have you asked for a refund? Have you complained about your purchase? If not then ?you? are the reason this shit happens.

----------

I am sobering up to the reality of the situation and this shit is no longer funny.
