Ashes Cricket 2013 General Discussion

As first came up in the whole discussion over the game being $20 on PC - they already seem to be making a loss on the game that they will release - so I paid DLC to add back in game features that should be there out of the box seems to be about the only way to try and edge some of that back.

They'd be saying in a 'patch' if they meant free imo.

And even if we heard, can we trust them? They can change it from free DLC to paid DLC any moment citing some costs of development.

Yep, I think a top question for the Q&A this week should certainly be is it paid or free.

Other than reverse sweep, what else is missing?

I think even more important question is, "Does the wicket keeper has a complete body yet or he's still missing some limbs"?

The front foot defensive shot is only available in the Wii U exclusive, deluxe, pre-order only DLC!

Isn't that the same DLC with the bats facing the right way too??!!?? How can they cram so much into one DLC?

Oh wait I might be thinking of the PS3 ultimate edition DLC which you get after you register your OFFICIAL Ashes 2013 account....which is ironically in the Xbox 360 super platinum DLC :facepalm

In fact; in the stock game, the only shots you can play are the scoop shot; a slog over cow corner and a hook shot. A little weird; but I'm sure we can all afford the special platinum level DLC that will add the best cut shot ever in a cricket game - to get it; you need to pre-order all four versions of the game and play them all at once!

graphics look better here..

Ah, comment after comment about DLC. Reminds me of the good old days of "big ain't cricket"! :facepalm

Planet Cricket are moving towards making many of the emoticons available only to those who pay mone... OK; I'll stop, its not funny any more anyway!

Although charging for the use of smilies might stop the people who put them all in absolutely every post they make, which would make the forum much better to read... Barmyarmy; you have something to do now! ;)
