Ashes Cricket General Discussion

I just had a fantastic dismissal, Balance propping forward to a Lyon arm ball, straight in front, LBW, but the ball goes up the leg and brushes his glove to Wade who takes the catch. Given out caught behind though could have been LBW as well.
I had two of same exact kind. But thought it dint touch the gloves. Managed to get a video of one.

Ah that's what happened to me. I thought it hit his glove but I didn't check as closely as that.

Hi guys,

ive played a few games online (8)and won all of them by 70+ runs in 5 over games ... against people ranked in the top 10 on the leaderboard .. how do i play the better players so its more fun?

Played my first game today after 3 long days of making players and all...Was absolutely blown away. It’s a EA sports standard game, this ! Animations and physics bring it to life !

Only concerns are the little glitches such as batsman smashing it to the fielders on the rope and not taking a single at times, and was let down a bit after my stellar first game vs England when I played Aus and it rained the whole game, despite playing, the frame rate was so bad I just gave up. Stop start rain was excessive but I hear that’s a new issue that’s come with this patch.

But these are minor things to what is a top top game. Congrats BA

@MattW, thanks for producing a wonderful cricket game. Any reason why you can not add the Broadcast/static cameras to the training mode under Batting option? Lot of people prefer batting with broadcast cameras and it will greatly help newcomers to train.
@MattW yes, please fix this. Its difficult for my new friends to get into the game without proper training :) please enable broadcast or static camera in training mode. It was available initially in DBC17 but broken after the last patch and continued to Ashes cricket.

Can somone please guide me?

There isn't one. In DBC17 you could duck/sway out of the way by selecting backfoot footwork and hitting the leave button. If you played with forward footwork you would stride forward with arms raised, better for leaving balls wide of the stumps.

In Ashes currently footwork has no impact on the type of leave you perform. Occasionally your batsman will duck to a short ball when you hit leave, but more often than not he plays a forward leave and gets hit. I have raised this as a potential area for improvement, but I have no idea if this was changed for a valid reason.

There’s no ball areal market on Xbox one game (in my game). It is enabled in settings but it’s not appearing. Any idea?
