Well that partnership ended in an extremely disappointing finish with Amla out caught Paine for 231 off the part time Renshaw. But the disappointing thing was the way out. Amla I'm pretty sure hadn't even got bat to ball yet before the wicketkeeper run in front of Amlas bat and took the catch once he blocked it. He was literally in front of Amla for the blocked catch ?

Dutch, I have a specific question for you. Has your batting improved on the latest builds? Can you finally reach a half century with your entire team?

The reason why I ask is that I have this one friend who completely sucks at the game but has great cricketing knowledge. He tends to play really late, so I'm wondering if maybe he would actually be better than me once the new patch is released.

I also wanted to find out just how many of us enjoy watching the fielder radar being kind of inverted once a shot is played? It doesn't really bother me, but I believe it would probably be better if it doesn't do that. Perhaps a setting for turning "inverted field radar" on or off would be great.

There is no comparison between other games to BA cricket games.

BA has started al together new revolution and new era of developing games which is more realistic and dynamic in nature.

There is only comparison with BA till date is BA games it self and no company could come close to BA.

Also accepting the fact that bugs will be there in every game, no matter which game or who is the developer.

This is all my personal view , since I have been playing video games for last 20 years starting right from BLC99.

My thoughts on that video

EA Cricket 97 ATE: underrated game, was v good for its time
BLC 99: obviously dated now but the one thing it has that is unparalleled in any cricket game is the ambience. I felt like I was playing in the Caribbean or sub continent due to the crowd sounds etc
EA Cricket early 00’s: I don’t feel they have aged well
BLC 05 and 07: these look better than I remember !
IC 10: I think this still looks pretty good graphically. Despite a few shortcomings I thought this played a decent game of cricket, especially with my mods
DBC14: I like the camera used when batting where it was from batsman’s perspective when you hit the ball into the field

Me 2 , I still buy ICC cricket captain every year and play it on my iPhone [DOUBLEPOST=1524385293][/DOUBLEPOST]In ICC I love the player auction every year and the realistic injuries , player on overseas duty etc. Hope some day these things will be introduced in career modes as well.

My thoughts on that video

EA Cricket 97 ATE: underrated game, was v good for its time

For me original lara cricket game was ahead of its time. Wonderful game play. Competitve AI. EA 2004 was promising as well. Codies 2010 international cricket was clearly gave better graphics. Then came along BA games

The best part is that with the new ashes patch, it will beat all those games by leaps and bounds I'm sure.

Still not taking away anything from those games. Some of them were classics for their times and built the foundations for big ant.

Let's hope that in the near future the graphics and commentary become more realistic.

Can anybody please confirm about two things in the new builds...!
1) Are the backfoot shots being playable powerfully in front of square?
2) Are backfoot shots equally powerful on the off side as well?
