How do you simulate by ball , this is for bowling, if you press square it takes you through until you career player is on ? I’d love for more realistic run rates , batting I agree about not pressing square.

Yeah while bowling, press square continuously. But it doesn't stop at the career player bowling. That's a drawback. You can simulate by over as well, to stop at the career player. I don't care much about bowling, so I usually press square and simulate the entire innings.

Thanks , i don't bowl much either but when I simulate the AI makes ridiculous scores particulary 2nd innings so any help to get more realistic is much appreciated

Here's an idea BA studio...why don't you give us all a Christmas sur-prize, with a new patch for ashes cricket to fix the numerous game breaking bugs and glitches....you know, the one you published and promised to support more than any other game that you have made!!

Second that. The game is on Xmas special on Steam but still want the final patch before I buy it. Pleeeeeeease Big Ant!!!!!

Hello-
I have started my first star player career on PC as Pakistan. Playing as sarfaraz ahmed. I'm noticing an issue with my career team lineup. All the players names are not real but random ones. If I go in Academy or just play a casual match I see the real players names that I have downloaded. But always in career mode I'm unable to use the correct lineups. I have searched the forum and haven't really found a fix yet. Can any one of you guys please help me out with this issue ?

There's no fix for this far as I know. The team your player belongs to, is always screwed up, when the other teams show almost near perfect line up. Have played Career with many a Star Players, and each case Kohli is dropped from the entire squad, which is plain ridiculous. B Aparajith seems to have lined BA pockets to be in the team in every career, although his stats are forgettable[DOUBLEPOST=1545286007][/DOUBLEPOST]

My experience, use Normal deliveries with angled seam interspersed with Swing and use speed modifiers Back Shoulder buttons for effort deliveries. With Stamina being unrealistic, you can bowl as many Effort deliveries you can as long as Jump and Release timings are perfect. Start with lower difficulties, they become less challenging and you would want to play on Hard or Hardest once you get hang of it. and most of all be patient

Nope , I've only figured out how to simulate by over(s) in the tactics screen , when bowling / fielding with my career player
if I'm not actually bowling pressing square simulates to when I do bowl , I couldn't find a way of pressing square continously as you suggested but I thnk that is just be being stupid ! do i just keep hitting square the whole time ?
2nd innings simulated AI scores are just infuritating , chasing down 450 easily on a regular basis

Am sorry, wasn't clear before. You need to press Square once you are on the Simulation Screen, i.e. Settings>Tactics>Simulate> Press Square

Another way is that you, become the captain, for Career Player with good stats it's fairly easy, and then select the Playing XI yourself. Be sure to Accept the captaincy once offered, it's easy to overlook it

Had my most satisfying bowling experience on the game for a while. Using the reskilled 1990s Australia and England teams of mine under 1992 ODI rules.

Australia struggled throughout and scraped together a competitive score thanks to the grit and determination of Dean Jones . Maybe it was the ground, MCG seems bigger than most stadiums in the game - might be way off on that, but it had the feel of that era in terms of run rates and approach.

Mastered the art of late innings swing/reverse which the middle-lower order couldn't cope with. Every wicket felt legit, maybe with the exception of the McDermott toe edge to produce a leaping catch at keeper. Wish I'd got some recordings of them to share. Nice gully catch for Allan Lamb, Botham at slip. Fitting with the time of no DRS, there was also a howler of an lbw decision that Steve Waugh survived, at least until his stumps were knocked down by Beefy two overs later.

I'm due to chase, which won't be easy given my batting ability. Tempted to bowl but I'm worried Gooch and Botham will end up chasing in 20 overs.

Heartbreaking run chase. Was moving along nicely and then when the going got tough my wickets got going.
