Same problem here, seems a few of us are stuck waiting at this point.

I've just taken a screenshot of what appears my unique problem, its telling me I need to be online....................I am online!!

The screenshot shows the latest BT Sport live score of the Perth Test to prove I captured it at this time of the morning.

FIFA 18 and other games had similar issues on the early hours of the morning of their release.........................but they were NOT always online shite, and they were NOT issues relating to being told the user was offline when indeed they were online.

Always online??? Pile of shite, too scared of the pirates it seems.....................

Not that scared though are they? Arrogant enough to charge £49.99, I only paid it due to winning a football bet last week that won me £300 so its money I didnt have before, but come on Big Auntie..................what about the others who have paid big money and have this opening night mess????

oh dear and hats off boys disgraceful Big Ant, £50 and I am getting "you need to be online to play".


I HATE WITH A VENGEANCE always online games..................................but I am getting this message whilst being online throughout.


So you have charged this £50 due to the great reviews on consoles (I've already purchased it on XBOXONEX), and now raise the price to a silly amount for PC, and here at 3am on the day of release I am being told I am not online when I am indeed.............online, and not via a VPN either, a pure connection here in London.

So put them cigars away please Big Ant, and come down to earth again, and realize that you cannot stitch up the PC community..........................especially those like me who already have bought a console version of the game for £45, and have now paid £49.99 for this non-working, and always-online (arrrghh!!!) PC version that is telling me I am not online............when I am. I work in I.T., so know what I am talking about guys....

I purchased DBC 14 and DBC 17 on Steam on the day of launch. I feel that pricing of INR 3799 for Ashes Cricket is too high for me.
I will wait for few more days to see to get the opinion on the game play who already purchased this game on Steam and also will see if the price comes down, then I will make my decision.

Yea, I mean if you've seen most people's assessment of the console version mine would be pretty similar. Took a few nice wickets, hit some beautiful shots and had fun.

The big issue with the PC version right now is no academy due to account verification emails not arriving.

yes same issue here, cant log in to Academy as no validation mail received in Inbox.

I was quite surprised to see Ashes Cricket 17 to be $59.99 USD instead of the normal $50.00 USD but it is still a lot cheaper than what some people have to play on consoles, some pay $100.00 AUD which is a lot or the cheaper price of $79 AUD which is basically the same as $60 USD right now. I think the issue is, is it worth it to play $60 USD for Ashes Cricket 17 if you already have DBC17!
