Asia Cup 2022 - Sri Lanka (UAE)

Amazing match! What a way to spend time with friends and family! We really bowled well and gave 12 extra runs thanks to Dahani's monstrous shots. KL Rahul is the biggest weak link in the team even over out of form Virat Kohli. Was surprised we opened with Pant only to give KL his spot back despite him not proving anything over the last 8 months.I have no idea what fascination the Indian camp has with this loser Rahul. The more I watch, the more I hate him. Last time I hated someone so badly was Stuart Binny.

Rohit was not his usual self and looked like a walking wicket on numerous occasion. Virat was scratchy but still scored that crucial 34 runs like he always does. Now batting first that inning would have lost us the game along with Rohit's horrendous 18 ball 12.

SKY looked good while he was batting and because of some excellent Pakistani fielding his inning showed 2-3 boundaries less. I was skeptical behind Jadeja's promotion but I get why they did it. Hardik was fab and quote me on this later, he will win us the world cup! He has been excellent post his comeback, even better then what he was when he started. That confidence, the power, the control in his line and length is amazing.

Naseem, take a bow man! Give 10000% despite being injured is amazing! I really pray you heal up quick and help your team in similar fashion.

Overall thanks to the curator, that was an amazing pitch and an amazing game of cricket. Loved the new rule of adding 1 player to infield due to slow over rate, that turned out to be a game changer. Amazing!

5/5 game. Onto the world cup now! Do not care what happens next in this tournament :p

Seeing Pakistan players in pain with cramps shows the fitness level of the Indian players because they were all doing great in the field.
To be honest it was poor display from both teams.
I am surprised India struggle to chase this down with that amazing batting line up.
congratulations to India in the end and it was all thanks to Hardik Pandya, what a player he is.

The bowling was great today from both sides

TL;DR ATTACK IN THE POWERPLAY FFS

To start off, Babar got a very good ball. Can forgive him for being beaten by pace and bounce, that kind of ball, in that match situation, in Dubai of all places, will most likely catch anyone by surprise.
Although, his and Rizwan's slow starts are not excusable, especially when batting first.
But after that, instead of trying to attack the short ball, we camped on the back foot and gave away 4 wickets, Fakhar, Rizwan, Iftikhar, Khushdil. Not excusable.
Fakhar should not have walked. And should have taken that catch.
Dahani and Rauf hit it better than Khushdil, Asif, Shadab and Nawaz. What else can i say about the hitters today.
As for the bowling, spinners, brilliant, Naseem and Dahani, brilliant.
Haris Rauf, boy oh boy. This guy is frustrating, because he’s got all the talent in the world, but sometimes he’s a hothead. In this case he bowled hard length for the third time after getting hit for four twice on two hard length balls. Extremely disappointing, although he deserves some leeway, was bowling with cramps, and Babar cost us 2 precious extra runs.

One of Khushdil and Asif has got to go. Bring in Haider Ali.
For Hong Kong, rest Naseem and Haris, maybe Dahani too, and bring in Usman Qadir, plus Hasnain and/or Hasan

Why? Either the umpire gives you out, or not out. Why try to do the umpire's job for him?
Spirit of the game, gentlemanly thing to do. It's about respect, I know every time I have gotten out LBW, or caught behind I have always tried to be as honest when I played. If a bowler was good enough to get me out (which to be fair wasn't that hard) then he deserves the wicket. Again it's not like I ever played in a high profile, high stakes game; unless you count the inter school matches we played when I lived in Saudi.

Close game, could have gone either way. Both teams fumbled in different stages of the match. From India's perspective, our top order is a matter of concern. The trio of Sharma, Rahul and Kohli are putting a lot of pressure on the middle order. Yes, Kohli made some useful runs, but he was also lucky. Could easily have been out for a duck.

I didn't really like the promotion of Jadeja over SKY. You gotta give your in-form batsman as much time as possible on the field - though in today's game SKY didn't had to wait long. We were lucky that the target wasn't that big, else we would have been staring down the barrel.

Do not care what happens next in this tournament
Even if the teams possibly meet again later in the tournament?

I didn't really like the promotion of Jadeja over SKY.
Neither am I! it seems like a strategical move as left arm spinners were bowling and ball was breaking towards middle to off stump. An LHS always comes handy
