Asia Cup 2022 - Sri Lanka (UAE)

Common out now our Pakistani Friends.

You guys won.

fearsome tweak yeah! So happy after a long time in cricket!

Thank you Pakistan and congrats to you!

Bhuvi needs to return to training academy on how to effect a yorker!

Poor captaincy tactics from India, just wow!

hmmmmmmm your jinxing powers are limitlessly powerful indeed @Bigby Wolf. :D

He did way better than Bhuvi in this match.

Feel for the bloke. He’s probably gonna face the toxic wrath of the fanbase for that dropped catch which might have made zero impact given that Iftikhar and Shadab were still yet to bat. Bhuvi being that awful would have conceded the match to those regardless.

Not to forget that Hasnain is a wild slogger too.

I think Pakistan confirmed in the final now.

India if bowling 2nd with the current lineup might not make it with all their games held in Dubai.

Gotta score big in the first innings or bat 2nd in the next two games to make to the finals.
Too soon. Pakistan can crash out too.. India will make it easy... "FAKHAR" not! :lol

So far 2 great matches from India and Pakistan l, can't wait to see the next one.

I'd love to see an ODI series, but that's not going to happen sadly.

Had these changes been done in the Shastri-Kohli era we would have been lambasting them but I doubt Dravid and Rohit will face such music.

Cause Dravid addresses the media. Shastri never did.

You've made some good points here Bevab, lots of questions, very few answers. Though, if India don't recah the finals, the swords would be out.

Fakhar Zaman is quite literally having the exact same tournament Hasan Ali had in the World Cup. Based off of vibes and vibes alone, drop him before he drops a sitter in the final and that leads into Rauf conceding three sixes from Pandya.

No joke.

Dropped a catch in the last over ;)

He also brought Kohli back into form with that drop

Time to come out of my self-imposed exile :D

List of big matches i have watched at least a good chunk of, and we lost

2011 semi - lost
2012 WT20 semi - lost
2014 WT20 vs India - lost
2016 Asia Cup vs India - lost
2016 WT20 vs India - lost
2017 CT group game vs India - lost
2018 Asia Cup vs India - lost
2019 WC vs India - lost
2021 WT20 semi - lost
2022 Asia Cup group stage vs India - lost

Did not watch more than a few balls, and we won

2009 WT20
2017 CT semi and final
2021 WT20 vs India
2012 bilateral ODIs vs India
2022 Asia Cup Super 4 vs India

Only exceptions where i watched and we won

1st T20I vs India, 2012 bilateral
2012 Asia Cup final

So i had a theory that whenever i watch a big match (against India, or a tournament knockout), we lose.
Today I didn’t even know who won the toss until the match was over, so i guess my theory that i bring bad luck is correct :laughter::laughter:
No more big matches for me :crying:

He’s also scored only 4 50s in the last year and this one across 24 innings and is striking in the 120s with a mid 20 average. This is in a side that already has two openers with career strike rates that are sub-130. He can play the odd star T20 knock like in the World Cup semis but more often than not is just going to amble his way to a score in the 20s.

It isn’t just vibes, his form alone warrants dropping him and trialing Haider Ali assuming the latter is in the squad. If Zaman is to olay he should be opening where he has more favourable numbers at least in terms of aggression.

Yeah, he led Lahore to the PSL trophy this year as an opener
