Asia Cup 2022 - Sri Lanka (UAE)

India will win today

The negativity from Indian fans and aginst Dravid and praising Shastri (i remember when Shastri was coach and the puppet/drunk man abuse he used to get on here)!!!

This is most likely going to be a slower pitch than the one India and Pakistan played on Sunday. Chahal may not have been exceptional so far but he has done it again and again and against this Sri Lanka side on a turner he might be a special card - plus you know Ashwin will keep it super tight at his end so they have to hit out against Chahal hence the pressure.

And Arshdeep is a quality player. The way he has bowled in this tournament has been exceptional for someone so new in to international cricket. He has got a very decent yorker and arguably has been better than Bhuvi at the end.

The overrated KLR is out.

Khelne ki aukat hee nahi hai:angry:

translation: he doesn't deserve to play

Hope he is dropped indefinitely now

From what I’ve seen Dravid has definitely been better than Shastri so far. The players feel more secure in their roles and communication has been much better. My gripes have been with the squad selections and the odd playing XI decision (like Samson leapfrogging Kishan). Dropping Bishnoi was harsh when he was clearly our best player in the last game indeed and I don’t think Chahal should be playing ahead of him when the latter hasn’t been as good since 2019 but it makes sense from a first-teamer who is backed point of view I guess.

Gone!

Death knell for Kohli. Can we all accept that him and KLR aren't really fit to play Rohit's brand of cricket?

That Kohli dismissal brought back memories of

S Tendulkar b Fernando.

Very very similar, except the fact that Kohli was looking at hitting it out, whereas SRT was bowled through the gate.

I don't know if Rohit is

Mumbai Indians Rohit isn’t but he always seems to play differently in Indian colours. He’s also become a lot more aggressive ever since Rahul started playing as his opening partner. Very curious case indeed.

If only Sri Lanka had Chameera the legend to get rid of Rohit…
