West Indies Manager Opens Team To Internationals

In a move sure to shock the cricketing world, West Indies Manager Miles Bryant has removed the restrictions on the West Indies squad.
"The West Indies squad is too sparse. Fellow islanders have got bored of cricket, despite hosting the World Cup in 2007." he complained. "We need some real talent if we are to improve on recent years. This new management of the ICC provides us with an opportunity to advertise for players of a decent standard".

Meanwhile, others were enthusiastic about the proposition. 10 year old Mark Rabbits was reported to be the first to apply for a place in the West Indies team. However, his application was rejected by manager Miles Bryant.

Kiwi Barrow Challanges World, And Nic

USA Born Kiwi, Simon Barrow, has challanged the world of cricket tonight by saying, "People arnt coming to terms with Australias downfall. Ever since last years loss in England they have been on a downward spiral and its great to hear Punter and Co. have been chucked out."

Barrow has apperently angered Australia by saying that Warne although a legend has "had his time," and has also commented on Gilchrists commintant saying that after the Ashes saw a 6 month layoff. "6 Months without needing to train, now thats just god aweful! In that 6 months the team could have brought in a few youngsters and bonded to be a better team allround, but instead they have sat by a pool and watched the world go by."

The last comments Barrow made was the boldest, "When Matt (Matt Roberts, the Head Coach) finally gets his full squad i cant wait to get in a work for my place as i know this side is capable, and will do, be the best team in the world within the year!"

"So far ive got a bit of competition in the squad with Nic also being a WicketKeeper but ive said to the guy that i would happily put the gloves down and stand in the outfield aslong as i get a bat, and maybe the odd bowl if i can!"​
