Australia in India

4-2 Australia. Fair result? No, Australia deserved 7-0 because they were the far better side but at least it shows that India have the spirit to punch above their weight. .

WOW  4-2 is not a fair result . Indians were acting like they were ready to beat us . I have seeing big mouths across the country, claiming Aus will start loosing their dominance from this series defeat . What happened now ???

With the likes of Uttappa and other young players, the Sky team were talking about perhaps Dravid was playing his last match?
Dravid is a class player and usually is very consistant so I would think the Indian selectors will stick with him.

India did really well. Kartik bowled beautifully today, he had the control and the change in delivery and it was good that Dhoni gave him an attacking field and took wickets when the Indians needed.
Zaheer had Australia in trouble as well but Uttappa gave them the brilliant fight back they needed.
Both teams gave away extras in which they will have to work on since both gave away 30 extras and in a low scoring game like this, that is a high contribution.

Lets see what the Twenty20 has install.

Support of one's country can blind people from logic sometimes.

Read it over mate, he is suggesting the exact opposite

Anyways last few games were pretty close. I hope India keeps improvising..another 20/20 win will really boost their confidence. Good luck to both teams:cheers

God, I don't want to trolling or anything but everytime this WORLD CHAMPIONS guys posts supporting the Aussies, I find it irritating.

I <3 Uthappa. :)

The six over midwicket was pure class.

Well to be honest, Australia havent been too dominant as they are normally used to be. It was more of India's weaknesses leading them to this series defeat. Aussies played well, but India's weaknesses have started losing them more games nowadays. Their ODI form is in disarray. SENIORS????????

There is still some work to do before we rectify the things that the Chappell era destroyed for us. During that time, we didnt allow some of the young blooded players to continue despite their failures. We were very soon blinded by the ever increasing pressure and dropped those players and denied them that experience. We need to basically start from scratch now and give different players chances and build the team again. Its a painful job.

Yeah, I am excited by this guy Uthappa. Has a pretty good brain and the timing of his shots and the power are simply sensational stuff. I seriously pray that this guy has it in him to go the distance. Not many do that successfully. I want him to go the full distance.

I thought Uthappa was a bit excessive walking up to Ponting deliberately a lot then encorauging the bowler, mind you, he stood up to the pressue the Aussie's gave him back for that. Very good knock, very promising player.

I couldn't see the Indian fielding effort live, but if he did that, he is just more awesome.

All our team is walking towards the fire them up line. :spy

Murali Kartik is awesome.
6-27 against the Aussies? Dead Rubber or not, that's a feat.
And his batting seems alright too eh?

Indians won this one. A nice morale booster for them.I had read some posts regarding a complete whitewash! this was a relatively close series!

Wow 6 wickets. That's a great effort. Australia seem to not like playing left arm spin a heck of a lot. lol.

Well done India. Good to see you register a win. Just got home in the end thanks to some tailend skill.

Yeah there's some guy named Vettori who seems to be pretty good at that. Dunno if you've heard of him.

Relative to what? It was a series that Australia comprehensively won 4-1 in the first five matches. That's pretty lopsided to me. This match really didn't matter, except for the morale of the Indian team would be boosted.

Stop looking at it as 4-2 and calling it a close series, because it clearly wasn't close. Look at it as when and how fast Australia won the series. Not to mention India's margin of defeats compared with Australia's.

It seems some Australian photographer had captured the indian fans enacting monkey chants to disturb symonds.

A tip to the Indian media who are going to cover the series in Australia this year end: Get your microphones enabled Ipods or voice recorders ready and have some people sitting in the crowd and be ready to tape. Got to show that there are worse than this in countries who are complaining about racism now that they are at the receiving end (and whats been displayed here is not actually racist to start with).
