Australia in India

India won . Congrats :clap Luck was totally with them, Aussie bowled superb, really cant expect more than this . 4-2 is quite a satisfactory victory in opposition's home soil :)

I love seeing bowler-friendly wickets. They're so much more fun than batsman-friendly wickets.

To be fair, that was defensible. The start delivered the wickets they sought and up to about the 15th over, it was quite brilliantly controlled. From there, it seemed as though the falling wickets concealed the threat Uthappa was preparing. They were late in reacting to him.

I think the key difference wasn't simply Kartik's bowling, but the way his captain supported him. As soon as India got a sniff, Dhoni brought in the close catchers. Ponting scarcely attacked through Clarke and Hogg. Hogg did not bowl well, but the fields he was bowling to didn't have much direction. There was no encouragement to see the batsman defend, but in such a situation, the batsman is not looking to overwhelm. He is happy to see the field spread and take his 3 singles an over.

Biggest issue: I can't understand why they took the third powerplay. It was obvious that the game would be in India's favour if it was still running in the 45th over.

That is the biggest difference between Ponting's captaincy and Waugh's BRAIN

That was a really weird presentation...

I dont even know who is the Man Of Series . The channel didnt even show the presentaion rather busy with some idiotic people with a programe called Fourth Umpire :mad

Kartik admits he nicked one to the keeper... Ponting says he should have walked since he's admitted to it. Not everyone is Gilly! Umpire's job to see the nick and give it.

good win for india! now we should win the twenty20 and look to score some psychological victory over australia.

No one is GILLY :hpraise This 20/20 will be great , will have a great chance to have the last laugh . Cmon Aussie :happy

Why the presentation was weird:

Symonds was very quiet in his replies, Aussie seemed not at all excited (esp when taking pictures and ponting was calling em all over), etc. I hate it how the BCCI announces everytime they give a wad of cash to someone. It was weird hearing Agarkar getting 2 lakhs of money while the Aussie team was taking a picture. I would've rather heard the commentators at that time saying something about that team and the series as a nice conclusion.

As far as what ponting said, i thought he said "it would've been nice if he walked, but thats just a part of the game."

From what I gathered from my cousin who was ill from school and watched the game; Kartik bowled ok but not great but it was India's day but even on your day, you need class to prevail. I can safely say that if Kartik did not provide the class, Uthappa did, I saw the innings and it was breathtaking. The man gets better and better and I really hope he is in the team for a long time even if he is in bad form because he can change a match just by walking up the pitch to a 137kph bouncer and hitting it for six.

4-2 Australia. Fair result? No, Australia deserved 7-0 because they were the far better side but at least it shows that India have the spirit to punch above their weight.

On to the twenty20, where WE are the champions:p.

He thoroughly deserved that :hpraise

Summed it up perfectly imo. He was just sublime throughout the series, with the bat, ball and (as usual), in the field.
