Kartik is much much better than Ramesh Powar. And with him, you have a off spin - left arm spin variety. He is a good fielder, and decent bat. Very good decision by the selectors to get a spin backup.

Karthik will never get the final cut. India are not too kind to their left-arm spinners.

Regarding the match, it scares me that there is still Hogg to come.

Lets see what happens. It all depended on the captain before. Kartik deserved the drop when it came to him. Dravid backed him much more than Ganguly, but Kartik has to make his luck which he didnt. Now he has had a fantastic stint with an English county side and has been picking wickets very regularly. Hope Dhoni uses him well.

The Big 3will never be rested.
Tomorrow if Tendulakr scores 3 ducks he will be retained in comparision to a Gautam Gambhir scoring 11,12 and 13.:
