you don't pick a bowler so he can bat though, you should pick a bowler for his bowling abilities. Batting is just an added bonus. Why doesn't Balaji play, he's not that bad with the ball

True mate.And Balaji is injured.

but balaji is unbelivable he totally remodelled his action in such a fast time and he's proving a success with his new action!

Sourav Ganguly, India's captain, will miss this week's fourth Test against Australia at Mumbai after failing to recover from a hip injury. Rahul Dravid will again lead India in his place. "I am out of the match," Ganguly confirmed. "I'm not able to run at all, so I can't play."

so is there any1 who is making the zip to download for india tour to austarlia?

I am so happy...I am also so happy that Agarkar was dropped...I hate both of them

What does this mean??

The pitch curator, M.S. Rao at Wankhede stadium said the following about the pitch for 4th Test match:

"It will be faster than Bangalore and Madras, but not as quick as Nagpur"

Please help me explain this... He says that the pitch will be faster than bangalore and madras but not as quick as Nagpur!!! India were defeated in Bangalore and if Mumbai pitch is faster than Bangalore does that mean India will lose this test too??

What happened to the pitch curators who used to make dust bowls in India when any team toured India??

Pitch curating is a delicate art. Very much an art though. If he says faster than the grassless style Chennai and Bangalore pitches but slower than the more normal style Nagpur pitch, you have to have faith in him I guess, because it's such a bold statement. Nagpur wasn't a particularly fast pitch but it was very much pace oriented. On the other hand, Chennai and Bangalore seemed to be very spin oriented. Yet they didn't produce very exciting batting, except from Sehwag, I suppose you could say. I think this curator would be looking to create a pitch that will hopefully suit batting but not suit the Australian pacemen by being too slow.

Looks like they became emotional, 35 years without a series win. They likely decided to help out Aussies atleast in this region.

Anyway, Indians are known to be highly emotional.

Shane Warne will miss the fourth Test against India after breaking his right thumb during an eve-of-match net session at Mumbai today.

India (probable) 1 Gautam Gambhir, 2 Virender Sehwag, 3 Rahul Dravid (capt), 4 Sachin Tendulkar, 5 VVS Laxman, 6 Mohammad Kaif, 7 Dinesh Karthik (wk), 8 Anil Kumble, 9 Harbhajan Singh, 10 Zaheer Khan, 11 Ashish Nehra.

Australia (probable) 1 Matthew Hayden, 2 Justin Langer, 3 Ricky Ponting (capt), 4 Damien Martyn, 5 Simon Katich, 6 Michael Clarke, 7 Adam Gilchrist (wk), 8 Cameron White, 9 Brett Lee, 10 Michael Kasprowicz, 11 Jason Gillespie.

Sachin might open tomorrow

Sachin Tendulkar might open tomorrow according to Reuters... Not batting but bowling for India. click here for full article India might go in the last test match with three spinners and Z. Khan as fast bowler. S. ganguly is out of the match and that means S. tendulkar might be asked to open the bowling for india. Dravid who will acting captain said that it is a possibility...

Sachin who normally bowls leg break with mixture of googlies in the nets was seen bowling seam-up to Dravid at the nets... he even managed to beat Dravid with his gentle outswingers twice in two consecutive balls! Shows the kind of form dravid has been in this series.

There's the problem with bringing people for experience, the only decent replacement for Warne in this situation is MacGill
