Michael Papps iirc was injured the last time he played for New Zealand and by the time he was ready to go again somebody had taken his spot.

I mean Smith has never played a Test match, and yet they pick him in an all-rounder position when we already have Watson and 4 bowlers. This would just mean we lose a "more" reliable batsmen. I would keep North instead of Smith in any event.

You mean the guy that has the following scores when hes coming in less than 150:

Well, he'd originally left to support her over the whole nude pictures thing, but I guess he tweaked her off after she sold her story.

Still though, I don't think that is a legitimate excuse for a VC to leave his team.

Probably not given hes only had one good season but his batting is more than capable. Hes already on 70 backing up his 100 in the previous game and I believe he had a 50 the game before.

TBH, I'm hoping he'll do a lot of bowling if he's picked.

Probably not in NZ, he might get a few overs though. He would add another dimension to our side though, able to stabilize the batting, destroy the bowlers, take out batsmen through his screamers in the field and maybe get a wicket or two.
