Australia tour of New Zealand 2010

Boy that was close, is the UDRS in place today? Commentators weren't even talking about it just then.

Edit: Ok now they are talking about it, first ever time it will be up on the big screen. That's good for the crowd as they don't even get to see a runout until after the decision.

1021 runs @ 145 including scores of 107*, 70, 108*, 77, 81, 84, 69, 92, 170 and 192 in ten of his last eleven innings.

That is also very exciting :p

Damn, exciting stuff. Hopefully Tuffey/Southee gets injured so he gets a go before the World Cup :laugh.

Haha, he's alright. You're talking him up like he's the next Shane Bond :p He's been pretty inconsistant since coming to New Zealand tbh, his first-class figures aren't anywhere near as good as they were in South Africa.

Looks like a decent crowd in should be packed for the next two days.

Tuffey, too slow and far too wide for the most part. I really have no idea why he's bowling down wind tbh.

Haha, I guess you have to get excited about just about anyone when you have bowlers like Martin still hanging around, Bond retiring, O'Brien retiring, Tuffey losing pace and Southee still struggling for consistency. I was just really impressed by him in the Champions League. Been a fan since.

Katich is giving North some hope here, he was in just as bad form in the Shield cricket but now hes probably made his top score post Pakistan series.

Yeah he's an exciting prospect it must be said. Any left-armer who can swing it in to the right handers consistantly, bowl at around 140-145 and is naturally aggressive is usually someone people will have hope for.

It's funny how the crowd enjoys streakers :)

TumTum added 15 Minutes and 7 Seconds later...

They say it's good batting conditions but I don't agree. There has been quite a lot of swing around and the ball nipped around as well. But it will get better after lunch and day 2.

It's going to be a long, long day one thinks. I guess you should expect that though we instead of looking to take wickets (or encourage your bowlers to take wickets) you bowl wide to try and dry up the runs.
