Australia tour of South Africa, 2008/09

Adam Voges concedes he may never again be selected to represent his country after choosing to attend his own wedding rather than play for Australia in their limited-overs tour of South Africa.

Voges, who was picked in the 16-man touring party, made plans with his fiancee Kristy more than a year ago to get married in Perth on April 5.

But in what Voges now admits was an oversight, the wedding is on the same day as Australia's second one-dayer against South Africa in Centurion.

Can't blame him but it could well end his chances of being selectors in the squad for future ODI tours. Reading the article North seems to be the replacement, interesting choice thought we could go with another big hitter but not to be.

Geez, what a man...

Not really, I would rather play Cricket then sign my life away - We won't see Voges in Aussies colours again.

Good to see, Voges is not international standard, he's hardly set the domestic scene alight either and he's probably at his peak now. I'd much rather see North playing both forms, although now's the time to give a young guy a go.

dont think north should be in ODI team also no big loss with voges dont think he should be in it anyway.

Voges isn't that great, I rather have North in the squad.

Is Marsh still injured or did they just didn't select him?

I sort've hope we lose and McDonald gets a pair with the bat and doesn't take any wickets and finishes with something like 0/150 and never plays plays for Australia again.

That and he looks too geeky to be playing for Australia. He'd fit in well with Vettori's team.

Katich got lucky on two fronts with that LBW call, good thing SA have no idea when to use the referral.

Edit: Lol now they use the referral for one that didn't pitch in the zone as I thought. Plus Ntini shout wasn't anywhere near as confident as the first one.

Oof, Katich is one lucky bloke. Khan drops a sitter. Thats twice he should have been out then.....

King Pietersen added 13 Minutes and 18 Seconds later...

Phil Hughes is officially the luckiest man on Earth. Inside edges 3 times and it misses the stumps every-time. Both these openers could be back in the shed by now, this series just not going right for South Africa.

Ride the luck when you have it! Hussey and Hayden lost their luck and totally lost form. These two need to go on though with the luck they have had if SA get one of them now then they would have wasted that luck.

Hughes has a freaking ugly technique, who's better him or Ryder.

This is going to be the flukiest hundred of all-time when he gets there. 3 inside edges, and now a simple chance dropped at cover.

Oh, he doesn't get away with that one. Harris gets Hughes.
