Australia tour of South Africa, 2008/09

Has Steyn had his tongue pierced? Definitely saw him move something about in his mouth.

South Africa getting Smith back will be vital. He's a class player and if he and Gibbs get going we'll be in for a show. Steyn bowling well also, seems to be finding his feet in ODi cricket after a tough start. If they can get Steyn bowling well in ODi cricket South Africa will be very hard to beat!

Clarke should go back to batting in middle order.

EDIT** Haddin is finally learning to play like gilly.

What on earth going on  two run outs in 2 consecutive overs

Botha really has impressed me, what a ODi cricketer.

Haddin, well he's learning, I know he's into his 30's now but he has got a few years in him yet so can still add to his already level game.

Ntini has really come back, for the last year he's been a bit 50/50, but he's enjoying being at home. His ability to get a ball to straighten back up is whats letting him play like he is.

Fergurson really needs to learn not to give his wicket away as well, but he's young. It'd have been a nice shot had there not been a third man, although there was an element of edge in it.

Kinda all i can say, just seriously impressed by SA's energy, but its always been the case. They bust ass if they field first, and then flop in batting because they've used so much energy. The spinners are really something SA need to keep!

I can't see why he's been picked tbh, got a pretty poor List A record. I'd move Clarke back down the order and put Hughes or Warner at the top of the order. Makes more sense, Clarke's not an opening batsman.

I'd probably go for Warner tbh. He's got a decent enough List A record, has a far better strike rate than Hughes and a hundred to his name. He'll probably be abit hit and miss, but so was Gilchrist. Haddin's the more sensible opener, with Warner playing his strokes at the top. If it comes off Australia'll be flying.

Hopes>>>>Warner as an opener.

Warner can and probably do a better job than Hopes opening. But I would like Watson with Haddin. Watson can bat well opening he averages 41.25 during 2007-2008 but some games, he was at 7 but he gives a better allround option than Hopes

Hughes' strike-rate in List-A cricket is a bit deceptive because he made a few important 50s in difficult conditions that helped NSW to victories.

I love how the commentators were silenced everytime Hughes hit a boundary. It was silence is astonishment and how unbelievably good Phillip Hughes is.
