I hope this is the end of Khawajas career. Terrible batsman doesn't deserve to be picked again. Shaun Marsh also needs to be dropped. I don't see us winning the last test either with Smith not in the lineup

Smith shouldn't said complete team knows about this incident that we discussed in lunch break. It may lead to suspension on the complete squad & I'm not sure if he continues as CA captain.

No way! Warner becoming captain is worser! Remember Warner was also involved in this "Sandpaper Gate" saga and has stepped down as vice captain in the ongoing test. And Warner has been heavily involved in some really ugly incidents during this series (his altercation with De Kock, his altercation with a spectator) that it would be a pathetic move if he is given the captaincy reins. Warner should be given the same punishment as Smith, IMHO.

As disgusting as this situation is, to say Smith isn’t still the best, at least in test cricket, is simply incorrect.

I said only for the reason he is bully and arse, I have never casted doubt on his batting abilities. He might be the best but overall because of his attitude and childishness he wont be considered great, just tood at best.

Test match skill has nothing to do with being a bully. Everybody has a bad series,this one for Smith. Kohli had a bad one against us where he scored 43 runs total. Smith is still by far the best test batsman

So 1 match ban for Smith and demerit points for Bancroft. Too lenient I would say but then again the ICC are only going by what's written in the rule book.

What about the "leadership group" then?

Way too lenient, a one match ban is not enough for what Liar Smith has done. This was not even a spontaneous thing, this was planned that the Aussies were indeed going to cheat which is a far worse crime that being to do it on the spot. Both Smith and Warner deserved a harsher ban. The bowlers are most certainly part of this as well. Starc, Hazlewood, Cummins and Lyon have gotten by too easy. They should have been at least fined 75-100% of their match fee.

Cheating needs to have a severe ban, you are violating the spirit of the game, which Aussies never play in the spirit. They play to win, which is a good thing but in doing so they cheat and they get off easy with these small bans.

I've got to be honest, I'm rather enjoying this. I had been enjoying the series as a close contest between two good sides, but after everything that happened in the Ashes and earlier in the series, then the revelations yesterday, watching the Aussies implode now is just as much fun.

On a different note. I don't think this will happen either, but it would be interesting if Smith and Warner were ripped off their captaincy in the IPL by the franchises. Would serve them right for this as well
