Australia tour of South Africa 2018

Game over. Let go too late Handscomb
Our test team will fall to the bottom without Smith and Warner

I fancy Handscomb at 5 over Marsh still though

One decent inning from Khawaja and he will definitely be in the next series, might even end up captaining the Test side.

Australia seemed to have lost their bite with this match. No real emphasis on trying to dominate the opposition.

He's too inconsistent, the only way he should play the next series is if he scores a hundred in both innings to atleast give Australia some fight

If this partnership between Mitch and Shaun isn't 200 or more we are going to have to follow on, unless Paine scores big. Cummins hasn't really done much with the bat this series and Lyon hazlewood and Sayers are too impatient to occupy the crease for a long period of time

It's obvious that Australia don't have the quality to match up to South Africa right now but the team should've showed more guts. Most of them didn't even put up a fight and willingly gave up. Don't want to watch another innings of this rubbish, a forfeit would be a much better alternative for fans.

Fully disagree with Lehmann's notion that Australia need to follow New Zealand's cricketing culture. No, they don't. The main reason why the team looks like a pack of rogues is that the aggression via words isn't accompanied by actions. If the batsmen could be more proactive in their approach, you won't see any of these discussions. When the players "sledge" on the field only to score 2 runs per over, of course they're going to look like fools. Australia and West Indies of the past were fine examples of "combined aggression" - intimidating the oppositions with words and actions. That's what the present team must aspire to emulate, not a culture where coming second is commended and one where they make hashtags (like the MCG being so big for example) only to fall on their faces when game time comes.

If Paine has a broken thumb, who's gonna keep wicket?[DOUBLEPOST=1522581020][/DOUBLEPOST]Why are teams so afraid of the follow-on these days?

Handscomb.

Makes sense to not follow on now. Without Morne we need our bowlers to be fresh as they’ll have to bowl a lot in the 2nd innings. Maharaj especially will need this break to be fully fit for the 2nd innings

Yeah, Morkel's out. Forgot about that

More MEMES are Coming.

Wow what an inns by TPaine that must have been, just got home to watch the game, gutted I missed it! Reading on cricinfo he had a broken thumb and all!

Salute Tim Paine. Reminds me of Greame Smith against Australia.
