Australia tour of West Indies

Wonderful stuff yesterday from the West Indies. It was like watching the Ambrose/Walsh era all over again.

i mean with our lead its effectively 4/130 and we've recovered from that so yeah

formula1man added 1 Minutes and 55 Seconds later...

Just watching the Highlights and I must say great time to bowl for any fast bowler.
Australia might missing Hayden but J Taylor would have made difference for sure.
Still Aussis are in comfortable position as Roy to come.

what highlights, where?

Best chase at Sabina is 212; if Australia set 320, it is all over. In fact in most conditions, 320 is a game breaking target.

Expect Australia to struggle, with conditions getting more difficult. However, with a first innings deficit, the Windies will have a bigger task on their hands.

yeah but still you can except australia to get nearly 300 runs lead if haddin, symonds can score big half centuries or a century... it also depends on brett lee and johnson... they have to give support to symonds and haddin by playing slow innings of 20-30 runs each...

i dont think if australia gets 300 runs lead, the game will be over... i think in the second innings sarwan, chanderpaul and morton might take WI to victory...

Sure, a 300 lead is totally plausible; I'm not arguing that. Australia only need to take their innings past 180. However, chasing 300 is a stretch at the best of times. Far more teams fail to chase than succeed. Just because there is a slim chance that it may be chased does not mean that it is a sporting target. At this point, I would think 220 was in the Windies' favour and 250-280 is probably a coin toss.

Even though the Windies haven't got a top order (Apart from Sarwan) or lower order?

Roy and Haddin still there. Plus, the Windies would be chasing. And don't underestimate the Aussie bowling. Binga & Sarfraz,if they get going, its trouble for the Windies.

well another wicket has fallen but this so evenly balanced.

Well, Hodge is also out and Australia has a lead of 189 runs. Highest runchase in this ground is 212-3 in 43 Test matches, so 30 runs more and Australia will be safe.

Haddin looks like Clarke in batting.

Why are you guys just basing it on history. It has virtually no bearing on how much the Windies can chase down. Their batsmen are on a high and any team even Bangladesh can chase down 220-230 against a two man bowling attack.
