Why the hell does everyone think the West Indies will lose?!

You've got your best and third best batsmen at the crease. You've got all day and still have 6 wickets in hand, and you only need to worry about 2 bowlers. The pitch is flat and we're dropping almost everything.

I really think the Windies deserve to win this, due to 3 things. We're playing like crap, we're selecting crap and arrogance in thinking that we can still dominate after the loss of such giants. Ponting just gives off the vibe that we're still best.

I like your thinking inbox, plenty of times I say windies deserve to lose when they so often are placed in a good position and then lose 4 wickets in 10 overs or crap like that. I feel your pain. All those drop catches at the opening is saying the stars are lined up with windies in this one. They can easily lose one hour into play tomorrow, but with some work they can also easliy win.

That is true, but if Chanders gets out, you can't really see anyone in the line up standing up for the whole day, going on current form. But I guess you could expect it from Chanders, but will the rest stick with him?

I'd guess for the Aussies, get Shiv and they basically have the game.

Must say I watched quite a bit of that yesterday and as a neutral, I think that was some of the best Test Cricket I have seen in a long time. At the end of the day watching Bravo and Lee's battle was fantastic. I would like to see the West Indies chase this total down but I do feel the Aussie quality will show and once they have broken this partnership, the tail will capitulate quietly.

5 of the West Indies remaining seven wickets average well under 30. If they all break even you get less than 70. Sure the current pair are capable of damage, but they need to rack up a double hundred partnership to avoid asking a tall order of the remaining players. Otherwise, we're looking at some career best cricket from more than one lower order player to get a result.

Put it this way, should we not lose a wicket before lunch, with the run rate we have been pounding @ the Aussies, we will win this and make history AGAIN!!! We need to score @ 3 runs per over and keep our wickets, and while Lee will be difficult, so too Clark, Johnson and Casson MUST bowl, we will play the waiting game.

Well the tail hasn't held up for the West Indies so really if Australia break this partnership and get Chanderpaul out then its all over you feel. Australia have been below there standards, not with batting and bowling but with poor fielding when really you expect every Australian side to show full commitment in the field. Johnson has had a poor series and Austrlaia have the likes of Hilfenhaus, Noffke and Bollinger waiting in the wings. Casson looked quite good when he did get into his spell, has a good googly as well so there coukd be a future for him.

Wow, Chattergoon might actually be able to bat. I can't imagine they'd risk completely wrecking his ankle unless they were nine down and within arm's reach of the win.

I reckon Ponting shouldn't let Johnson bowl today, instead just give the two seamers and the 3 spinners (Katich, Clarke and Casson) a shot. If you need to make up overs let Hussey bowl even.

I think Aussies winning series 1-0 is more like defeat to them. They would have won it 3-0 easily had it been old Aussie team.
