Australia vs Pakistan | Test & T20I UAE Tour

Wow - didn't expect it to turn out like that - amazing performance to save the test. Very important as well for Tim Paine to be there at the end, I think that will do a lot for his confidence in making the captaincy his own and step out of the shadow of Smith.

Obviously still a huge amount to do for Australia, but this is promising from a team everyone would have been writing off after the collapse in the first innings.

What A Superb Draw!!!!!

What pressure. What composure.

What a great advertisement for Test cricket.

Great moment for the team. Khawaja's innings was very emotional. Captain Paine's positive attitude and Langer's perfection working well for the Aussies. Sad for Marsh brothers.

Mitch will do better at 5. And I hate Shaun in test matches. He is better playing ODIs at no.4.

What a proud moment and treasured moment for Aussies and their fans. What an effort it took to draw a game heading into Day 4 & 5. It takes incredible skill and concentration to go that deep in a game in the subcontinent. There's rarely a team that can even try to draw a game whilst being in a dire situation going into Day 4 & 5. Australia deserve this draw, they can treat this like a victory.

I respect the way they've put so many hours and so much effort into trying to perform well in the subcontinent. Loads of respect for Khawaja, he came back after a dismal SL tour to working hard on his technique to deliver a match defining innings. Tim Paine played exceptionally well, these runs will give him a lot of confidence going forward. The Aussies will enter with full confidence, rather than the Pakistanis who might be feeling down after such a disappointing result for them.

The game was one of the best I've seen from modern day Australia, right up there with the 2017 Indian tour in terms of guts and valiance. Lyon's innings at the end was every bit as valuable as Paine's, Head's and Khawaja's, for a #10 to play the way he did takes so much mental strength and balls. More than technique, the biggest improvement in Khawaja's game has come in the form of mentality. The older version of him would've thrown it away after getting frustrated by the lack of runs and scoreboard pressure. The fact he managed to plod on despite the mammoth task facing him was a very pleasant surprise considering nobody thought he was capable of that. It also raises the very positive conundrum of having many options for the top 4 spots once Warner and Smith return. If Australia win the toss in the next game, don't rule out the possibility on momentum carrying them to a victory.

Well played Australia. Its indeed a great achievement for the side so down and out and particularly in the conditions of UAE which have always been unsuitable for foriegn sides.

Pakistan, on the other hand has more to do with poor captaincy skills and unbalanced team selection.

To start with, It was again a defensive team selection with one extra batsman and you were missing one more bowler in the side. You cant include both babar and harris in the same side with shafiq, imam and azhar there as well. Pakistan could have inducted easily one more specialist bowler under this situation but defensive mindset continued to come here as well and out of fear they inducted one extra batsman un-necessarily

When the selectors and management will realize that Wahab has always been a burden on the side. When Junaid performed for you in the only game he got the chance in Asia Cup and he has had a good test record, why dont you give a try to Junaid instead of bringing back an ordinary bowler who looked tried, done and dusted. He has never been an international material until he does hardwork on his wrist position and crease usage. Hasan Ali could have been inducted in place of one extra batsman and when u were running out of options you could have someone who can bring breakthroughs for you.

For the second test, surely we can not rule out an Australia win as Pakistan's side is looking confused. The only positive from Pakistan side was the strong comeback of Hafeez who most suited for asian conditions. Pakistan also got victim of poor choice of review calls from captain and some highly defensive field settings and bowling changes on the 5th day.

Yep morale must have been lower than a black snake's belly after our dismal first innings.. To bounce back the way they did took enormous guts and determination.. arguably our greatest traits. Australia must now have the belief she can win the Second Test.

Could the unthinkable happen and we get a pitch with actual grass on it for the Second Test? Having toiled on a Dubai pitch almost entirely bereft of greenery, the Aussies were surprised to find a well-grassed wicket at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Sunday. Recent history would suggest the track will be far from the green seamer our Test sides have struggled on in recent Ashes series abroad so the answer to my question is it's expected that curators will give the Abu Dhabi track a significant haircut ahead of the first ball on Tuesday. Bummer.

Reports have come in Imam-ul-Haq has got injured. Wahab dropped and the management has announced 12 players from which the XI will play tomorrow.

Fakhar, Hafeez, Azhar, Haris, Asad, Babar, Sarfraz, Shadab, Bilal, Yasir, Abbas, Mir Hamza

I would not play Shadab tomorrow.

Why?
Although Mir Hamza has great record in FC so we might have 2 debutant if Shadab not pick up.Bilal was wicket less for 222 balls so pCB thinks to add extra spinner besides Bilal

28 year Zaman debut tomorrow
If Hamza picks up he will be second debutant[DOUBLEPOST=1539643816][/DOUBLEPOST]If Shadab picks up who will open bowling with Abbas with the new ball?[DOUBLEPOST=1539643865][/DOUBLEPOST]https://m.cricbuzz.com/cricket-news...ell-marsh-pakistan-vs-australia-criccket-team

Mitchell Marsh on YOGA

I wish he can make some runs as Paine planning to removes him from number 4

Zaman playing test cricket = Ali playing limited overs cricket. A good example of what's wrong with PAK cricket.

Where the hell can I watch it in India?
