I dont think there's any reasons to pick fights here.As said before although the matter was avoidable,we should also consider that the Aussies were eager to get onto celebrations and that the BCCI president could have moved a little quicker. In any case when both the involved parties arent bothered with the incident why should us planetcricket members be and pick unwanted fights for the same reasons?

your comments smell of the typical racist attitude some people have..oh it's asians so they must be wrong blah blah blah. learn to respect cultures buddy and I'm using the mildest language possible here.

this is an issue because India lost..can't see a more ****** view than that along with 'losing respect for Sachin'. but go on, it's entertaining.
God i'm in love with all these biased Indians, you're opinion differs from theirs and your a racist fool, 'typical aussie', 'bad sportsman', '******' or something along those lines.

Hows this one you biased moron, Tendulkar is past his prime and he is never going to be as good as he ever was, he is just a minnow basher. Shut up and learn to respect other opinions moron.

LOL! you just proved my point, moron.

Oh I wonder if it was the other way around, I bet our official would be to blame and we would be racist, oh alas I don't have to wonder as you are never going to win a tournament!

most likely. Our offical would be accused of 'stealing the limelight' of the Indians or, 'getting in the way of such a legend, Sachin Tendulker'. Our offical would probaly be sacked (such as Umpire Hair) and then the image of Australia as a whole would once again be labelled 'racist'.

May sound rediculous, but its actually highly likely.

no it was Pawar's fault..he should have said 'take your fvcking trophy mate and get the fvck off' and hurled it towards Ponting. I'm sure this would have not been an issue in Aussie media and with some racists here? after all it was just some fun going on..

No,it wasnt anyone's fault. Each acted according to what they felt best,Ponting & Martyn wanted to get on with the trophy celebrations while Pawar wanted to get on with it at his pace which is also fine.Had Pawar retailed as you funnily point our or had Ponting or Martyn had a go at Pawar seriously then it would be an issue, but it isnt currently apart from the fake issues and fights being made in this thread imo.

Now having seen video footage of the incident, rather than just pictures I'll comment further.

Punter, wtf were you doing? You're a tool mate. You should apologise.
Marto was fine, I thought the Indian bloke was just standing on the side or something but he was right in the middle and didn't seem like moving.

Yeh exactly, I watched the video just then ( its on youtube ) and they gave him a gentle push which he seemed like he was standing his ground ( in the middle of the stage infront of the cameras ) and then a firmer one as he wasn't moving. It was his fault he stood there like a rabbit in the headlights, the celebration isn't going to be the same getting handed the trophy, waiting til the BCCI chairman steps of stage and then celebrating, its a spur of the moment thing and Pawar should of known. Ponting shouldn't acted like he did gesturing to hand the cup over. It's both sides fault and there isn't much more to discuss then the Indian media blowing things up as usual.

Lol, i give up..... i really cant be bothered with stupid crap like this.

I wouldnt call his view 'retarded'. Oh waaaaaaaaaaaait!!!! This could be racist against him!!!!! QUICK, SOMEONE START A THREAD.

The only entertainment here mate is you complaing over something as ridiculous as this. Your the only one that thinks this is a racial issue which is completely stupid and if your THAT sensitive, then sheesh, good luck in life mate. You'll need it.

when you start generalizing things like
Why are asian people taking a small stupid issue like this, and making it into a racial issue again?? This really bugs me.
that's racist. just like someone saying Australians on this forum are full of crap.
There are more than 1 Indians here who have different views, which is perfectly fine in a civilized discussion.

Plus i believe Pawar recently had a stroke and that is why he can't walk quickly.
I got that from another forum, it is interesting if it is actually true.

I hate the way that people in this thread have completley tailed away from the matter at hand and have started to abuse fellow posters. If you can't have a civil argument then really, what is the point in arguing? I've tried to read through the thread but i'm annoyed with the constant flaming at posters who don't agree with someone's opinion.

No it isn't, it's a fact that every newspaper cited here complaining about the incident has been Indian- commenting on that is a valid observation, as it is clear that they are the only ones attempting to make an issue out of this. It's also quite tiresome having people such as yourself pull the race card every time an issue comes up.

if even today CA is trying to teach these animals
your comments smell of the typical racist attitude some people have
I'm sure this would have not been an issue ...with some racists here?
To summarise, Australian players are "animals" and everyone that recognises that it is only the Asian media sensationalising the incident is "racist". It is obvious that there are different interpretations of the incident depending on where you live, recognising a difference doesn't equate to claiming superiority because of that fact (which would of course be racist).

Debate the point, don't go attacking people that disagree with your point of view

I think the main people to blame are the people who fired up this arguement (BCCI i think?) jesus, its not like they tryed to kill him!
