Starc is a solid cricketer, a Mitch Marsh has had a very encouraging start, much better than in ICC

Poor luck for Hughes, a couple of golden goose eggs! Hoping he can come back before the end of the international summer, and either get a ticket to New Zealand or even make a limited overs debut!

Good game really, I think there was a bit more in the pitch at the start when NSW were bowling, but Qld took out NSW's stronger top order with skillful bowling. Both teams recovered after early wickets, but NSW finished up doing it better.

Smith might be flying under the radar, but he's surely not much of a secret any more.

I really hope the selectors don't leave it too late with Spud (Steven Smith, probably not his actual nickname but his initials.....). He's pretty good for a young leggie, and his batting is quite solid.

If Hauritz doesn't use the doosra at Perth, we gotta replace him with Smith.

I heard in the T20 clash that Smith can bowl the wrong-un and other variations.

Happy for him! This could be just the morale boost he needs, the one that he is lacking from his inability to go on and make runs. Hopefully this could give him the confidence to go on for a ton.

I believe all the options are injured. I'm assuming Cameron is injured, I know Cockley is injured so we would have to look at a youngster. Lambert will probably play but I would go for Bird as we need another strike bowler.
