Australian Domestic Cricket

Simon Katich is such an awesome batsmen, shame he was never given more opportunities at Test level.

Yep, another hundred for him. Haddin has just been sensational lately as well.

Blues had a miny collapse to get to 9/256 declared. But good to get a wicket on the last over of the day.

Katich sure is putting his hand up, too bad for him there isn't a spot open.
First time Hughes has failed for the Blues but geez there were so many ducks in that Blues performance. That was what I was fearing from the start and only today it has occurred. Might be something to do with Mail we haven't gone this crap since he was in the team last season!

Bollinger awesome! Watson LOL and geez Johnson has taken a hammering against a pretty poor SA batting lineup. Not a bad return for Tait.

He should have been given more of a chance at Test level instead of being discarded prematurely. Pretty sure he's got a better Pura Cup record than any of the current Australian batsmen, bar Ponting.

Yeah apart from Ponting & Hayden all of our current batsman average in the 40's in Australian First-Class cricket. Hussey averages 41 I think.

ya he definitely deserves another chance but doesnt look like it ll happen.

Katich should be next in line given his form and past test experience. As long as he brings this form into the Test arena he could well cement a spot finally.

Noffke continues his good form and Tait is making quick last ditch effort. Johnson continues to be average. Hughes is away this time, hopefully he can get that 100.

Well if one of our injured batsmen aren't fit for Boxing Day, the decision would probably be between Simon Katich and Brad Hodge. Both are staking claims at the moment.

Ronchi and Gilchrist opened the batting for WA yesterday. MOUTH WATERING....

Then both failed......:noway

Hayden - 54.85
Jaques - 47.46
Ponting - 61.11
Hussey - 42.00
Clarke - 41.66
Symonds - 38.38
Gilchrist - 37.97

Other notables include Justin Langer (52.86), Darren Lehman (55.66), Micheal Bevan (61.63), Simon Katich (52.02), David Hussey (43.54), Brad Hodge (46.89) and Damien Martyn (43.88)

If Hayden doesn't recover in time for the Boxing Day Test then I get the feeling Michael Hussey will be promotod to open and Simon Katich will bat at #4. Katich should also be first choice reserve if Clarke is still injured.

The majority of Hodge's runs have come in one innings of 286*, whereas Simon Katich has already scored three centuries, including a 306.

Incredibly strong batting lineup when all the internationals are back. Keep in mind Pomersbach and North are still suspended.

Katers is definitely the form batsman and he has played a variety of innings, from epic, to blitzing, to gritty.

Alarming to note that alongside David Hussey, Ashley Noffke is equally the next most in-form batsman outside the national squad.

Tait also pulling a stunner on Queensland, 7/29 in the second to make 10/98 for the match. An outstanding performance, not to take anything away from other bowlers in excellent form, but this means Tait is back from injury and looking very scary.

Awesome bowling performance from Tait that's the best we've seen from him since his break through season.

Disappointing that Hughes again only gets to 50, but congrats to Mail on getting the 100.

Gotta give credit where due, Johnson finally out bowls Noffke.

Yep, go Mail. Out of the team for a while, labelled "Snail Mail" but he has proved his worth. Good to see Hughes get another 50 but he really needs to go on with it.

We got 7 ducks in the first innings. Only 4 people scored.

Mail got 40 odd.
Katich 140 odd
Haddin 40 odd
Casson 20 odd

Forrest failing again. Bad game for him. 0 and 2.

That really sucks.

South Australia have a weak batting lineup & a class bowling lineup.
Queensland have a weak bowling lineup & a class batting lineup.

And yet SA is batting first & Queensland's bowling first. :(

Gonna have to wait for Tait vs Hayden.

Meh, this game is ruined. Could've been good to watch had Queensland batted first.
