Cutting helped keep a miracle alive for Qld though, an unbeaten 79 to push them above 200. Magoffin and McDermott providing handy support roles to more than double their score.

Experimental game for Victoria. Fekete looks good on debut, almost freakishly accurate and gets it to nip around.
Rose has bowled okay, lots of dots but not too threatening. Still has a bit of time to develop and his batting could be very handy.
Aaron Finch also bowling some left arm orthodox but couldn't quite keep it on the spot. Keath is in the side but doesn't look like he'll be needed to bowl.
The pitch hasn't played like the raggy first class one, but Victoria will be hoping it comes on better under lights.

Looks like Cooper was killing it until he ran himself out, still finally seems to be delivering on his talent and another 100 in Shield cricket could be enough to get himself an Aussie cap.
Cowan has done what his other contenders haven't been able to do in score runs, should keep his opening spot after this display. Davis also continuing his form, his average must have been in the low 20s if a good season like this has only just bumped it above 30 and in this match its jumped to 33.

nice 303* from Davis there. second 300 of the season for Australian batsman on grassy bouncy pitches, looking good haha.
He has to do a lot more than that 79 to get his spot back after his poor showing and he didn't do anything in the 2nd innings when WA needed him to and missed out on this deck where his team mates smoked the NSW attack.
What is up with NSW, at this rate they won't even past Voges score. Khawaja again fails, Hughes the usual and Watson out after a start. Again none of them putting their hands up. And the end if nigh for Haddin.
