Well could live with that since SA aren't flowing with young batsmen putting their hand up. Might end up helping Australia overall allowing the youngsters to be exposed to an international spinner.

Siddle and quite a few Australian tailenders these days have really well honed techniques; it seems to go with the territory of being perennially injured. However technique only gets you so far. These players also get a lot of single figure scores that you tend not to notice. Any time Siddle gets into double figures, he's having a good innings.

Surprising move. Seemed like NSW had given him limitless opportunities during his time here, can't really remember him being rotated out like most of the guys.

Considering we only won like 1 FC game last season, and my main criticism was the constant rotating of players and seemingly random batting positions, it might force us to stick to a fairly stable batting line-up, and we can't do much worse than last year.

NSW have just played this one badly. Rumour suggests that Khawaja and Hauritz were already beyond reach by the time the MOUs came, but currently they've basically lost an entire team of senior players within 12 months.
