Doropoulos has been in great form all season so definitely no surprise he made such a good score. Thought he would have bowled a few overs but WA have other part timers.
Hilfy bowled really economically again, certainly one to look at for ODI honours again.
Australia, New Zealand and South Africa have confirmed they are planning a multi-nation franchise-owned Twenty20 tournament based on the IPL, which they hope to launch by 2011. Although the competition is still in the planning stages, the idea is to have city-based teams and schedule it at a time that would allow Indian stars to take part.
Its a batting paradise down at SA. SA all out for 313 and NSW 1/112 at lunch. Great to see Hughes and Forrest in the runs. The dom got Khan out for a duck
Hughesy is back Took him a few games but hes finally past the 50 mark this season and looks like he might get his 2nd FC 100. Forrest already has a 100, boy hes in good form this season. SA bowling attack looks really weak and Tait just hasn't had the same impact he did in the OD match. Cullen has been very expensive so far.
Argh Hughes out for 198 Looks like he got the nervous 190s! Lambert certainly has batted well this season. Our hopes of winning probably lay with the spinners not only for their batting which is needed now but obviously their bowling.
Simpson finally does something as captain
But geez I hate to think what will happen to our side when we play Vic in FRC. One more wicket and we get to see Hill in action.
At this rate, the bonus point would be assured for Victoria, winning in 40 overs, but if they amp it up and score 76 runs in then next 8 overs, they could get a second bonus point.
angryangy added 15 Minutes and 58 Seconds later...
No wait, they'd need to have finished the game in 25 overs. That really should be worth more than one extra point.
