Australian Domestic Cricket

Good to see Fergs get a big one, classy young player getting plenty of matches, but looking for consistency.

Heal certainly is having a good OD season. Hes probably now behind Dohety for an ODI spot if we are after a specialist spinner.

Same reaction I had. I would of thought with those early wickets that SA would of finished it off and to add to that when Cosgrove ran that bloke out I thought it was all over. Good win by WA though.

Just looking at Heal season figures so far 9 wickets at 14 well above Doherty, White impersonation with 1 wicket at 60. Selectors might have to move aside Doherty as Heal form is just too good to miss.

Victoria dominating again, getting ready for an outright victory in all likelihood here.

I'm interested to see who we'll drop for White now when he returns next game - Quiney would be a candidate but he got 88 and other opener Jewell gets 92. Rogers, Hussey and Hodge are all safe, and McDonald probably is too. Interesting stuff, probably going to be Quiney anyway.

Time for a change with the gloves I think, don't know how Wade is going with the glovework but his batting has been poor and Crosthwaite is definitely a better keeper.

If the Australian selectors have a say it'll be a bowler ;)
Seriously though it could well be Holland that makes way to get White to bowl more overs and on some pitches they won't need 2 spinners. I'd prefer him to stay but I can definitely see White being picked over him.

Hazlewood made a pretty good debut and would love to see him in our team but with Bollinger, Bracken, Cameron and possibly Cockley to return hes certainly got a tough task to take one of them out.

Geeves certainly looks to be handy with the bat. 3rd highest scorer in the 1st inns and top scorer in the 2nd. Really deserved a 100 poor bloke got stranded on 99 :(

Anyway another crunching victory from Victoria, good to see Holland keeping up his good start to his FC career.

NSW 12 man team for FRC tomorrow

Dominic Thornely (capt), Aaron Bird, Doug Bollinger, Peter Forrest, Nathan Hauritz, Moises Henriques, Phillip Hughes, Usman Khawaja, Stephen O'Keefe, Daniel Smith, Steven Smith, David Warner.

Good to have Bollinger back, will be interesting seeing if they go with Steven or Warner as the 6th batsmen.

Should be a good game against Queensland. Hopefully NSW lift again after their impressive win against New Zealand.

Great to have Dougie back. I would play Smith over Warner, he deserves the spot after his efforts against the Kiwis imo.

Araon Bird certainly isn't though! Good start by Henriques as well, continuing his good form from the tour match.

Geez, if it wasn't for Bird, I'd hate to think how they'd be going later on. Henriques has been accurate, but not quite unplayable, while Bollinger really looks like a guy who hasn't played in two months. Bird's done all the damage with ripping fast and full deliveries. With the weather looking a bit damp, they could really have gone in with one more paceman.

We will soon see if going down the spinner path will work or not. They could have played Lambert and I was a bit surprised he was dropped since he seems to be one of our few bowlers that are taking wickets.

But the Queensland batting and bowler certainly isn't as threatening as it can be so NSW will be thinking this is their best chance to get a win.
