just simulating them mate. i dont have that much time to play pura cup games lol

Queenslanders Fail To Impress

Queensland test hopefuls Andrew Symonds and Shane Watson failed to continue with starts as test selectors looked on during their 82 run loss to Victoria at the MCG. Symonds made 49 in the second innings after Queensland followed on while Watson made only 25 in the battle for the number 6 position.

Watson however took 3/145 in the Victorians only innings, after Mathew Elliott made 70 to continue his good run of form and Cameron White made a well compiled 84 as Victoria reached 10/405.

Matthew Hayden was unable to continue on from his 233* at the GABBA and was dismissed for 19 and 10 against a stronger bowling lineup than the one faced against Tasmania.

Bevan Blitzes Warriors

Former Australian one day star Michael Bevan hit a century to lead Tasmania to a 10 wicket victory over Western Australia at Bellerive Oval today. Bevan hit 117 as Tasmania recorded a resounding victory on the back of a first innings total of 10/354.

Justin Langer's fate is now out of his control after giving the selectors one last noteable performance with 69 in the second innings, while Michael Hussey scored 54 in the first innings. There is only one match remaining before the tour squad is announced, with Phil Jacques and Mark Cosgrove set to go head to head at Adelaide Oval in an attempt to make it onto the Australian team.

I agree with you there MWaugh

I must say the inclusion of the domestic games is a nice touch to this brilliant story. Good work :)

Thats some tough competition would you be giving Craig White the go ahead?

Maybe in an ODI series he is a explosive batsman as he showed in Twenty 20 last summer over here I think?

white did get a chance in game 6 of the VB series. hes definatly in the mix for the one day tour of the windies. youll find out the exact squad it about 4 or 5 updates which will be tonight definatly

I would like to see White included in the ODI squad. Been in good touch lately (in real life).

Clark Skittles Redbacks

Stuart Clark made it almost impossible for selectors not to pick him after claiming 7/51 as he lead New South Wales to a thumping 342 runs against South Australia at the Adelaide Oval. Michael Clarke also showed he is in great form with a stylish 117.

Opener Phil Jacques also found some form with the bat with a quick fire 68 in the second innings to set up the victory even further. Jacques' innings will put further pressure on Matthew Hayden and Justin Langer to retain their place in the side.

With the latest round of Pura Cup matches complete, the focus will now be on Cricket Australia as they prepare to announce the test and one day teams for the upcoming tour of the West Indies.

Not a big suprise about Stuart Clark, Micheal Clarke seems to have notched up a good 100 making selection that much more difficult, I dont think Clarke should be left out.

Clark and Jacques have done more than enough to earn a spot in the team. Clarke's has carried on with his good form in domestic cricket as well.

If you have a look at the season in review section Michael Clarke's spot was never in jeopardy. He scored a big 100 in the test in adelaide. Only really Clarke, Ponting and Gilchrist are guaranteed a spot in the opening test. Hussey has done enough in the one dayers aswell to justify his claims.

Sky Sports Win Broadcast Rights

English based television channel Sky Sports has won the right to televise the West Indies home test series against the Australian world champions. The two fierce rivals will contest the Frank Worrell Trophy, starting with the first test in Antigua. It is expected that Sky Sports will continue its coverage with the One Day Internationals however this is still yet to be confirmed.

(Sky Sports have won the rights to broadcast the Digicel test series between the West Indies and Australia)

Sky Sports Announce Commentators
