Captain Ricky Ponting playing a lone hand in guiding Australia to a score near to that of India's 10/328.

This match is evenly poised at the moment. Crucial century from Ponting saved the home side, and now if the bowlers can do their magic and get India out for less than 200, then Aussies will be on track to a 1-0 lead in this series.

Excellent presentation and depth. Great read. This is one of my favourite story threads along with BrettLee's Champions Series and langerrox's Retravision Warriors Season.

What an amazing thread, id say its the joint best story ive read on Planetcricket.
The other best being Brett Lee's ahses series :D

Dear all,

I apologise for my not posting in over a month on the forums but unfortunatly i was struck down by a pretty serious illness and have not been able to post on the forums (or do much else at all unfortunatly). i apologise for the story stalling at the australian vs india test match and i will do my best to get the game up and running again but unfortunatly i can be unsure of how my health will treat me and how regular my updates will be able to continue. thanks for all your comments that have come in the thread and hopefully i can get it back to the level that it once was.

thanks

Warne Strikes Early - India 1/28

Shane Warne struck early with the crucial wicket of Virender Sehwag for the 2nd time in as many innings for only 11 to put India slightly under pressure at 1/28 in the 2nd session of play on day 3 of the first test.

Warne combined with captain Ricky Ponting as Sehwag was caught at bat pad after a cautious start with opener and first innings centurion Guatam Gambhir (4*). Ponting took a superb diving catch to his right from a gripping Warne leg break that caught the outside edge of the devistating batsmans bat.

Bracken Snares The Captain - India 2/30

Left arm swing bowler Nathan Bracken snatched the crucial wicket of Indian captain Rahul Dravid as the tourists slipped to 2/30 as they look to build on their lead in the 2nd innings of the 1st test.

Bracken introduced Dravid to the short ball while the captain was only on 1 and tempted him into a cautious pull shot. The pull shot resulted in a top edge that flew straight into the air and eventually landed in the hands of Matthew Hayden at 1st slip.
