Warne Bags 5 - India 9/143

Shane Warne put India firmly under pressure with a fine 5 wicket haul to leave India at 9/143, still 60 runs away from avoiding the follow on. Warne combined with Adam Gilchrist to snatch Zaheer Khan for only 1. The leg spinner found the pace bowlers outside edge as Khan looked to defend on the front foot, the fine edge was then taken coomfortably by Gilchrist, his second dismissal of the match.

Welcome back mate. Hope u r well now. Great Story.
And as u r moderator of this section so r u planning to start the Best story of the month competition this month. If yes that will be good and hope my stories make it to the final list.

McGrath Finishes Indians - India 10/144

Glenn McGrath took the final wicket of Mahendra Dhoni for 16 to wrap up the Indian innings for 144 runs, still trailing Australias first innings total of 259 runs. Ricky Ponting now must decide wether to enforce the follow on or bat again, forcing India to face the Warne, MacGill and Symonds trilogy on the 4th and 5th day on a sharp turning Adelaide pitch

India Crumble Under Extreme Warne Pressure

Shane Warne put Australia in the driving seat of the 2nd test match with a comanding 5 wicket display to bowl the tourists out for only 144. Warne claimed 5/14 to rip the heart out of the Indians, Rahul Dravid with 56, was the only batsman to make it past 25.

(Scorecard at the end of a dissapointing Indian batting display)

Ricky Ponting must now way up the option of enforcing the follow on and possibly facing the Harbhajan Singh and Anil Kumble duo on a hard turning Adelaide pitch. The 2001 2nd test defeat of at the hands of an Indian batting lineup lead by V.V.S Laxman (281) and Rahul Dravid (180) came back to crush Australia by 171 runs after being forced to follow on by Steve Waugh.

Ponting Continues Assault

Ricky Ponting elected to continue on with the relentless assault of his in form bowlers by electing to send the opposition batsman back in to follow on after dismissing them for only 144 in the first innings. Ponting will again use his 5 pronged attack of Lee, McGrath, Warne, MacGill and Symonds in the 2nd innings. All of the bowlers took wickets in the 1st innings.

(Ricky Ponting (L), Justin Langer (C) and Adam Gilchrist (R) discuss the option of enforcing the follow on)

It is a large gamble for the Australian captain, considering the likes of Sehwag, Tendulkar, Dravid and Ganguly have the ability to change the course of the match in a very short period of time.

Sides Return To The Field

Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir made a quicker than expected return to the Adelaide oval wicket in their batting kits as their side looked squarely down the wrong end of a 259 run defecit.

Lee Makes Early Inroad - India 1/4

Brett Lee got Australia off to the perfect start in the 2nd innings with the crucial dismissal of Indian vice captain Virender Sehwag for only 1 as India slipped early to be 1/4. Lee produced an excellent delivery to combine with wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist to put the tourists further on the back foot.
