Cracking century, just read up on the story all over again, well done M_Waugh!

Kumble Snares Warne - Australia 7/379

Anil Kumble went 1 up in his personal battle with fellow leg spinner Shane Warne as the Indian claimed the wicket of the worlds most prolific wicket taker for a duck as Australia slipped to 7/379.

Virender Sehwag took an incredible reflex catch at bat pad after Warne had found the shoulder of his bat, which popped the ball up to the left of Sehwag.

Lee Falls Without Score - Australia 8/382

The lengthy partnership between Adam Gilchrist and Michael Clarke appeared to take its toll on the Australian tail end as Brett Lee also fell without scoring.

Lee fell victim to Zaheer Khan LBW attempting to flick the ball to the vacant leg side field. However Khan managed to pick up an extra yard of pace, forcing Lee to play late on the ball which cannoned into his front leg. Australia now appear to have a fight on their hands if they wish to make it to the 400 mark.

McGrath Falls For 0 - Australia 9/390

Glenn McGrath continued the Australians poor tail end batting display as he was dismissed for the tails third consecutive duck as Australia slipped to be 9/390 with Adam Gilchrist and Stuart MacGill at the crease against a determined Indian bowling attack.

Anil Kumble picked up his third wicket of the innings when he produced an inside edge from the traditional number 11, McGrath. The ball popped up to the leg side which was easily taken by bat pad fielder and Indian vice captain Virender Sehwag.

Gilchrist Takes Australia Past 400 - Australia 10/403

Harbhajan Singh put the final nail in the Australian coffin as the home side collapsed to be all out for 403 in the first innings of the second test at Adelaide.

The off spinner put an end to a devistating 157 run knock from wicketkeeper batsman Adam Gilchrist from only 177 balls the Western Australian took his side past an imposing 400 run point.

It was one of the greatest innings played by the worlds most dominatant wicket-keeper batsman, as he hit 12 boundaries and 9 towering sixes to all parts of the Adelaide Oval.

The Indian top order of Gambhir, Sehwag, Dravid and Tendulkar will now have to consolidate the innings before looking to chase down the 403 lead.

Indians Fight Back

The Indian bowling combination of Anil Kumble and Zaheer Khan fought back brilliantly to leave India still in contention in the 2nd test after Australia, lead by Adam Gilchrist and Michael Clarke made 403 on days 1 and 2 of the 2nd test match.

Khan claimed the best figures of the innings with 3/78 from 20 overs but it was Anil Kumble who impressed most with 3/80 from 26 overs with his leg spin.
