Australia's fast bowling future looks good with Tait putting on a great performance today. Wickets and economical, what more could you ask for in a bowler?

Clark Chimes In - Pakistan 9/173

Stuart Clark joined the act as he picked up his first wicket with the dismissal of Kamran Akmal for only 9 as Pakistan slumped to 9/173. Clark, the Sutherland man playing on home soil, skittled the middle and leg stump of the Pakistan keeper with a beauty that dipped under Akmal's bat. A total of 200 now looks well out of reach for a struggling touring team.

The press is going to jump onto Pakistan. They are playing horrible. Or is Australia playing like the world champions, oh wait, they are the world champions. :p

Hogg Completes The Rout - Pakistan 10/183

Australia will chase only 184 for victory in this 4th VB series match at Sydney after Brad Hogg completed the rout to leave Pakistan all out for 183. Hogg picked up the final wicket of fellow spinner Danesh Kaneria for 3 to complete the task. Hogg combined again with Adam Gilchrist as Kaneria edged a cover drive to the keeper.

Australia now require only 3.68 per over to win the 4th VB match and go to the top of the table. It will provide debuton Phil Jaques with an excellent chance to blood himself at the top of the order.

Whenever i hear 183, i remeber WC1983!!!!
Anyways it will be very easy for Aussies!!!!
No suprises even if they win by 10 wckts becos they deserve the victory!!!!

Also Waugh, can u tell me the points table???? i hope india shd be in the finals!!!!

cheers

ill work out the points table after this match. there is still quite a few matches left in the series though (see the first page of my thread and search for the link in the first post). at the moment its all pretty level but india look alot tougher to beat than pakistan

EDIT = Please note people, due to the many posts in this thread (its close to 1400 now, the first page is continually updated so that you can find the links to the important events that happen. be it games, tour schedules, statistics and future series. please check that out and post any views that you may have

The Task Ahead - 184 To Win

Younis Khan was the only Pakistan batsman who looked under control of the situation at all with a solid half century, but it was Brett Lee who stole the show in front of his home crowd with a great display of pace bowling to finish with figures of 4/24 from 10 overs.

(Brett Lee showed that he is ready to take the responsibility of leading the bowling attack and fill the shoes of the ageing Glenn McGrath)

Great bowling by Australia.

The Run Chase Begins

The new Australian opening pairing of Adam Gilchrist and Phil Jaques have taken to the field as they approach their run chase in the 4th VB match at Sydney. Gilchrist has performed this duty many a time in the Australian colours, while Jaques has the honour of wearing the green and gold for the first time in front of his home crowd.

(The task is clear cut for the home side. They are well are of how much they have to score and how quickly to do it)

MWaugh, those graphs of the 10 over blocks are awesome. It certainly adds to the realism of the games. Cheers and good luck.

Gilchrist Goes Early - Australia 1/15

Adam Gilchrist fell in only the 4th over of the match with the score on 15 as Pakistan received a major boost in their bid to win the 4th match. Gilchrist had his off peg knocked back by Mohammed Sami attempting to drive the ball down the ground. Traditionally playing straight down the ground early has worked well for Gilchrist, however this time the ball just nipped back off the seam and beat Gilchrist through his bat and pad.
