I didn't believe that you were partying anyway. There's not much reason to party when you rig the awards so that "everyones favourite moderator" wins the best story. ;)

Khan Completes Half Century - Pakistan 5/142

Younis Khan continued his fighting innings for his country as Pakistan reached 5/142 when the young number 5 reached his unbeaten half century. It took a controlled innings of 50 from 76 balls. Khan has been the only batsman who has looked to get on top of the bowling and will hope to continue his fight with still over 15 overs remaining in the match.

Tait Strikes On Return - Pakistan 6/154

The return of Shaun Tait to the attack proved rewards with the wicket of key batsman Younis Khan for 55 to reduce Pakistan to 6/154. Tait combined with his captain Ricky Ponting, fielding at square leg, to take the wicket after Khan chipped the ball to the leg side.

It has put further presure on the Pakistan lineup, with a total of 200 now looking to be a good result, however Australia look to be firmly in the driving seat.

Go on Aussies!!!! Aussies had the upper hand in evry point of this innings so for!!!! So its no doubt tht the best always deserves the best i.e Aussies deserve this victory!!!!

Lee Brought Back

Ricky Ponting has gone to his strike bowler in an attempt to get through to the Pakistan tail with the re-introduction of Brett Lee to the attack. Lee has been all class with the added challenge of leading a largely inexperienced team into one day battle.

Good stuff from the Taitster.
Hopefully aussies can wrap up lower order quickly to minimise the damage.

Lee Traos Malik Plum In Front - Pakistan 7/163

The return of paceman Brett Lee to the attack brought immediate rewards for Australia as the fastest bowler in Australia picked up the wicket of Shoaib Malik for 15. The wicket reduced the Pakistanis to a poor 7/163 with just over 10 overs of play remaining.

The new pace pairing of Lee and Shaun Tait has proved leathal against a very hisitant Pakistan lineup.

Well bowled by Bing :)

Pakistan would have to score atleast another 60 runs to have chance at winning.

Well we have seen weird things in cricket, haven't we. I still think Australia will win though.

My prediction: Australia win by 6 wickets.

Pakistan Under The Pump - Pakistan 7/170 (40)

The Australian pace pairing of Brett Lee and Shaun Tait tightened the screws on the Pakistan lower order with a clynical display of pace bowling to restrict Pakistan to 7/170 after 40 overs. Scoring at only 4.25 per over, Pakistan have never looked on top, the young guns of Australian bowling lighting up the crowd and giving them a taste of what could be in store when Australia travel to England to attempt to win back the Ashes.

Lee Continues The Rot - Pakistan 8/171

Brett Lee continued to impress in his role as the main attack bowler with his 4th wicket of the innings to restrict Pakistan further at 8/171. Mohammad Sami was the wicket to fall, after being suprised with an increase in Lee's pace with the old ball. Faced with a short pitched bouncer, Sami attempted to hook the New South Wales quick, instead spooning the ball straight to Ricky Ponting at square leg.
