Australian Tour of India, October 2010/11

Wow, ask a serious question, get a stupid answer ay? I haven't seen any of the game so I was asking why he needed a runner when he was obviously playing well.:sarcasm

My bad then, I've just skipped the last few pages in all honesty because they're just 2 word posts. His back was killing him basically. You could see that in his strokeplay as well. His range of shots was much more limited in this innings. Considering that, he played very, very well.

Because of back spasms. No one knows how and when exactly it happened.
VVS came out to at no 10 in 1st innings, wasn't there the whole of 4th day on field, and came out with a runner for this innings. (which actually gifted Aus the wicket of Dhoni as a run out)

The three guys instrumental in India's victory: Laxman, Ishant and Bowden :laugh

Woh! What a time to come from school. India just won, when I arrived and I was dying to see the scorecard but cricinfo and cricbuzz was down so checked on Yahoo.

Can't express my words, 124/8 then 81 runs partnership by both injured players and winning from there says it all. :D:banana2

Test Match >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Limited Overs Cricket

I actually was praising Billy a few days ago for some very good calls. But he undid all that good work today. Sooner he is gone the better and UDRS needs to comeback.

Zaheer Khan is the Man of the Match. It should have been Laxman. Without him India wouldn't have won the match.

While Zaheer was great, VVS was the MoM for me. Too bad he didn't get it :noway

Awesome game, hoping for another one like this (though with a little less heart pounding moments) in Bangalore. One game like this will turn around things for the series and the interest will shoot up. Hope to see good crowds in Bangalore. Its almost 5am and got to hit the sack!:D

MOM could have been Ishant too. After bowling poorly in the first innings and initially in the 2nd, he turned around with those 3 wickets and brought India in completely. And when we thought we were dead and buried at 124/8, he stood at one end with Laxman and took us very close where Ojha and Laxman could finish it off. He deserves it. Hope he rectifies his no-ball problem. Games like these could boost him a lot.

Lol bro, even he would have love to run himself. Cause we lost Dhoni just due to the miscommunication. So, I don't think he's not injured/anything like that...
And Ricky Ponting:hpraise... he's the best ever captain I've ever seen:hpraise.
He allowed VVS to have a special runner, inspite of knowing the following things:
- Laxman was last day specialist batsman, who averages about 55 in his second Innings and who hit a century in the last day of the previous test match India played.
- VVS Laxman holds a record of hitting a double ton against Aussies in Follow on which was a epic win for India.
- Laxman's both the double hundreds were off Australia, in which one came off while following on.

Ricky Ponting is the best ever on field captain I've seen, his tongue is a bad one though:p.

Laxman couldnt run, and so he was allowed a runner. One can bat well inspite of not being able to run and if one bats well, it doesnt mean he can run.

His reaction at Ojha after a small miscommunication with Raina was ROTFL!! He took out his bat and gestured as if he was going to thrash Ojha with the bat!!!! Also showed the kind of emotions they went through during that time. Its our favorite old rival, Australia and its a test match!

Bangalore is usually pretty good, but it's usually not the last game of the series. India have little to gain if there's a result there, but let's hope the wicket is not prepared with that in mind.

His umpiring is good enough than others and probably he misjudged more than couple of times

Lol. Leave about it. I think Billy did justice to India by giving the wrong decision in favor if India at the right time! And many wrond decisions were given in favor of Aussies in this match too. So, Umpiring has fairly failed:laugh.
