Australian Tour of India, October 2010/11

Big blow. Big big blow. Pretty much all the good work has been undone now. Pressure back on India big time.

Moment of Relief for Punter as Sehwag goes but still India in a good position because of the quality of batting to come

yeah, tbh that looked like happening, i was worried when dravid took the single. A shame because it was the only realistic way of forcing some sort of suspense into this match. the rest of the indian batting line up will probably just score at a similar pace to australia for the next 2 days now, either that or collapse feebley and get beaten meekly.

Well, a wit to Johnson then; short and straight did indeed work. The key was that the ball left the batsman. Sehwag looked to work it away, but he ended up playing across the line.

End of day!
A sad one. No more interest and suspense in the match now. As StinkyBoHoon mentioned, the rest of the Indian lineup will score runs slowly. Not as slow as the Australians did, but the tempo will certainly be reduced. At the end of the Indian innings, a RR of 5.5 will come up to around 3-3.5.

Expecting some resistance from Laxman tomorrow.

Yudi added 0 Minutes and 43 Seconds later...

Sehwag goes & now i m feeling that i m watching a test match :)
:laugh
Haha. Nice one. Reps coming your way. :)

This is why I rate Sehwag highly. In my opinion he's the most entertaining batsman of the modern era (at least).

i guess it will come even more down as ishant comes to bat and he will just stick there as much as possible and suddenly rr will come down :(

Agree and from 2 or 3 years he has transformed himself very well.I remember there were some flaws in his batting like giving catches on third man but now he looks perfect.

BTW I m also a fast bowler..It is my nightmare to bowl before him :p

428 is not bad for India considering they had to take 14 wickets with 3 man attack on dead pitch.

Challenging situation here for India now that Sehwag is gone! We are not going to score at the same pace, so definitely expect a drastic dip in the run rate tomorrow. Our target should be to get to Australia's score and then see what happens. I doubt this pitch has in it to have a result (unless India collapses).

Will be interesting seeing how India go tomorrow, if they score at even close to the rate they have then the pressure will be well and truly back on us.

I count 7 chances that should've been taken. It certainly could have been something like 150 if they were sharper in the field, but that's just it. They only had to create more chances because they shafted themselves.
