Far from it. This happens a lot in ODIs in India during winters. Early morning starts mean that the pitch is fresh and its always a tough hour or so at the start. The wicket then becomes a batting beauty which we are all so accustomed to see. Which is why you have to ask yourself what people like Raina are in the side for. If you cannot play out a few overs and wear off the initial freshness when your side is in trouble, you do not deserve to be in the side.

This is pretty bad, should have had them all out for ~70. Dhoni should have been gone ages beforehand, tickled it off the face to Manou.

Well then it evens it out because his LBW should have never been.


Bollinger needs to go back over the wicket. It worked so far and no need to change it, create that angle to make it tough on the batsman.

Kumar is looking awesome, if only he had a bit more pace he would be a damn good bowler with some hitting ability.

Face it guys, it wasn't because of the pitch. Watch the Aussies cruise home to the series now. It'd be like me blaming the pitch for our being thrashed at Centurion this year against South Africa! If the tail can bat on that track......

Some might be a bit disappointed there will be no 100s today! Although, Watson could do it......

In short.He was being foolish. With the way Pravin Kumar was striking it, we could`ve squeezed in another 15-20 runs.

Lets face it. 170 is not a huge ask but we need our bowlers to show the kind of spirit which Jadeja and PK showed with the bat which they have`nt done so far in this series.

They were 27/5 and from there 170 is a really a great job. Once again our bowlers lacked to take outt he rest of them just win this match (series) During the break, will there be no use of roller on this pitch ?
