Australia's Tour of India - 7 ODI's

Bit OTT there dude, it was a good series win to retain the #1 spot but im sure the three WC wins and the ICC wins rank higher.

Definately, our 3 consecutive WC wins and two consecutive ICC CT wins are Legendary but this win in sub continent with broken team is just something special :)

So finally Aus, seeled the series, i remember, when India was leading 2-0 or 1-0 (not exactly sure when he claimed), harbhajan said, "We will win 6-1 or 5-2", what happened?

these are useless & very bubbish sort of comments before start or any series or in between of any crucial series...

Suppose it shows England > Australia > Ireland > Morpeth Bay 2XI > India
Yup England are no. 1 even after loosing 1-6 to Australia.

Australian State XI defeat India on their own turf! Makes the Ashes victory against the real Australian team so much sweeter!
Never knew Ashes was ODI series :sarcasm

I was shocked to silence when I first turned on the TV earlier this morning. India were then struggling at 27-5. Just couldn't believe my own eyes! Seriously, what were our batsmen thinking? Yeah, the pitch was bowler-friendly and all, but couldn't they have at least taken singles and stayed out there and adjusted themselves to the pitch, without attempting anything big or risky, for the first twenty overs or so? I've seen this in our previous matches as well, aren't our batting slowly becoming a bit too dependant on one/two people? If we collapse like this in front of an Australia C side, then what would we have done against the original Aussie team? Not only our batsmen, but our bowlers also out of touch, but wouldn't put much blame on them. You can't possibly win a match by posting a petty total of 170! This is really a sorry show by us. This match has exposed some crater size holes of the Indian team, and we do need to work on them. But anyway, I'm not losing hope. Still think that MSD's boys can rectify the mistakes they made here and come back strongly in the next match! C'mon India, you gotta do it!

Who cares about the last one now :p I am sure we will be resting many players in the last ODI so you may manage a consolation win :)

Last ODI series between both of them were 2 years before and India lost the series by 2-4. :)

Your question should be has Australia ever whitewash the series against India in India?

Well no thats not the question I would ask. Yes I know the 07 series was won by us, so was the 04 tri series, and the 01 series, and the 98 tri series. We didnt make the finals of the 96 series, before that there may have been a series somewhere around 1990, but I havent found it yet. From the records it seems the Charminar Challenge in 1986 was the last time India beat Australia in india, in a one day or tri series, interesting.
