A common mistake is to assume the ball was rising and missing the stumps, however, as it was a short delivery and the pitch had taken so much off the bounce, it was actually falling when it hit Tendulkar's shoulder; and at that point it was perfectly in line with the stumps.Sachin was hit on the shoulder and not the helmet. I do not recollect the ball hitting the helmet but I am very sure that the ball made first contact with the shoulder. That LBW decision was an example of horrible umpiring. Sachin has got a lot of such horrible decisions.
