Best Ever ODI Bowler

Good mention, Gough was fantastic. Any bowler with an ODI average in the Mid 20s is doing something right.

Well most of Pakistani Bowlers are no doubt best from the rest of world.Wasim,Waqar,Saqlain(Best ODI spinner ever). From present lot Asif,Gul(new king of reverse swing;)),Afridi etc etc..

What have Asif, Gul and Afridi done in ODI cricket. There records are nothing to write home about.

@Howsie:Maybe Darren Gough might not be great to you but when people mention guys like Sohail Tanvir and Zaheer Khan as great bowlers.I felt Gough should be given more credit.I forgot to mention Heath Streak,a very underrated bowler but extremely talented and effective.

Also I read one or two mentioning Gillespie as an average bowler.Well they must be outta their minds.Gillespie was one of the all time greats till the 2005 Ashes.Remember Viv Richards said the only bowler he would be afraid to face now would be Jason Gillespie.

A little out of topic I feel many Zimbabwean cricketers are not given respect by people from other countries.Guys like Andy Flower,Grant,Eddo Brandes,Goodwin,Guy Whittall,Dave Houghton,Alistair Campbell,Paul Strang,Neil Johnson and Heath Streak were all fantastic but underrated cricketers.

Sure he is great and is the next great kiwi bowler to Hadlee but he gets injured too often and made a mistake by playing in that miserable Indian T20 league.

I don't want to post here any further seems senseless to me.I am going to vm you from now on if you want to talk about this any further. As a matter of fact I have seen Murali bowl live from behind at the nets back in the 99 world cup.You dont need an expert to judge a bowler's action and you certainly dont need a degree at it.You have to believe and trust what you see rather than relying on others. If you feel Murali's action's clean fine,I've got no problems accepting that. His statistics speak for themselves if you ask me....But you certainly have no reason whatsoever in preaching stuffs which you believe in and others don't....

There is even a song about Murali's action which I have heard the Poms sing:
Throw,throw,throw your ball,
Gently down the air.
Murali,murali,murali,murali
Chucks it like a dream.

I don't mean to disrespect Muralitharan's fans but it is not just me but even many referees,Cricketers and experts feel Murali chucks.

A wise choice, but in future, let's try not to resort to petty insults at all on the forum.

- Your friendly neighbourhood mods

-Wasim Akram
-Glen Mcgrath
-Shane Warne
-Muttiah Muralidaran
-Imran Khan
-Brett Lee
-Shaun Pollock.

I can't decide who's the best out of this list.
