Best Ever ODI Bowler

The best Sri Lankan seamer ever and a real gentleman too. Most Sri Lankan cricketers are very humble lads....

LOL at Sohail Tanvir for best bowler..that guy's not even the best bowler at club level. For me it's Wasim Akram, Glenn Mcgrath, and Shaun Pollock.

agreed, Sri Lankan cricketers are unbelievably modest and down to earth. Especially Sangakarra, he is true class with the bat and gloves and even more class in his demeanor.

^Yeah I can't agree more. Sri Lankans cricketers are very gentle and humble. Their demeanor is perhaps the model for the rest of teams.

They are also severely underrated, I reckon they are in the top 4 Test nations easily.

Also could you imagine if what happened in Lahore happened to anyone besides Sri Lanka? We would never hear the end of it.

I think Denis Lilee was the best.
McGrath, Warnie and Murali are also great.
Dont forget Walsh and Akram

That's why Sri Lanka aren't criticized so much - and they shouldn't be. You see Indian cricketers doing TV ads left, right and center tihnking they're gods. Then when they lose the big matches everyone takes the piss out of them - and rightly so.

Dude, the amount of money involved in those ads is insane. You'd be a fool to turn it down. Nobody and no cricketer would turn it down. It's just that in India, people look upto celebrities and with cricket having such a fan following, they are on par with Bollywood stars, which makes them very marketable.

Man, cricketers used to play for country pride before. That's all I have to say.

Wasim and Waqar were greats in their times. Muralitharan is a berilliant bowler, but I think he has lost some of his sting. If you saw him in the ODI series against India this year, you will know what I mean. He managed to take the wicket which meant that he had more wickets in ODIs than anyone else, but he took it in the 4th match, and he went into the series needing only 4-5 scalps. Zaheer is a great bowler today, as is Brett Lee when they are fit. Pollock, McGrath and Vaas have also been exceptional ODI bowlers.
